might we drag you back in? There's PLENTY of great budget boards out now and you can easily get great builds sub $200. The nice thing is, whatever board you're looking to build, like a polycarb or acrylic case or maybe aluminum with a weight...there's plenty of great budget options now. I love my kbd67lite and the entire build cost me around $200!

I know how you feel man, I have spent over $1200 last year alone on boards, switches, deskmats, and cables its a lot to be honest but I think if you find one board a year that you like it should be a fun hobby to continue to participate in. I like this board and I think ill also get my a Nuphy75 after i sell off some of my other boards

@@ultimomos5918 I guess 200 is not expensive but I would call it cheap. And part of the hobby is using and motifiying lots of boards not just 1. I have a $200 board but changing out parts or getting a second board is quite the investment.

@@dylaanowen yea its really up to you how into it you wanna get. My first board was about $120 all together and it's what I learned on, the KBD is my first like TRUE custom. Some people do go bonkers though and drop tons of money right off the bat. Personally I've turned it into a little bit of a side business venture. I build and sell custom cables and also offer build services for others and use those to fund any upgrades or parts i want for my own boards. Still though, If you're ever interested in getting back into it there's a ton of really great, budget friendly options available now! Just thought I'd mention it :)

@peanutbutterbean1738

@@kazirasostudio9660 it usually comes in 0.3 or 0.5 mm thick but im not sure what the difference would be, i have 0.3mm thick pe foam in my board and it makes a massive difference, just if it gets too thick and you are using regular mechanical switches it increases the likelyhood of bent pins, i bent pins on 5 switches out of 61 but i just unbent them and they are still working fine after about 6 months, hope this helps

@@luisalbertmorlasanchez3020 I type a LOT on this keyboard for work daily and have actually yet to run out of battery! My laptop uses USB-C power (same as the keyboard) and I very occasionally will plug the power cable into the keyboard to top the battery up, but only about once a week or so. Mostly though I have it wireless and I have never even seen it get low on power. I usually have the RGB lights on the mode where they light up after a keypress (rather than everything flashing all of the time), but I imagine with heavier RGB use it would run out faster. I came from using a keyboard with regular AA batteries and they seemed to run out constantly, so I've been super impressed with this battery and how easy it is to keep it charged with the cable even as I work.

Thank you. Did this on my current Air 75 keyboard. Made the sound wonderful! I used a 1mm PE foam which fits just fine in between, did the holes using a 4mm leather puncher which came out nice. I might remove the tape though. I need a softer sounding one instead of the sound bouncing right back out. I might try adding a layer or two of PE foam at the bottom of the case. At first, I had a hard time removing switch casing apart. Used an angled tweezers that I saw from another video. lubed the switch housing and the springs. Took me quite a while! Loving the sound though. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for the video! This was my first mechanical keyboard mod so it took me almost 5 hours to lube all the switches and stabilizers since I opened each one of them. I also used the PE foam that came with the packaging of the keyboard and added two layers of masking tape to the back. I love the thockalicious sounds the keyboard is producing now. My Air75 came with a broken wire coming from the battery, so I have to use it plugged in for now. Once I fix that small issue this keyboard will my perfect on-the-go keyboard. For example my U key works only with hard press. I replace switch and result is the same. After a quick research i found a exact problem. U key locate between far away from screws and plate bends. Because of that contacts of switch don’t hit contacts on pcb. The solution is place someting behind pcb behind U key. Back plate must press pcb closer to switch

Love the bgm for today’s video!! I really want to buy this because it’s mix of mech and Logitech keeb especially you can carry it everywhere. I hope you would make 30 mins video of this keyboard😸💚

Prolly I can convince my mother to buy this in my college if face to face is back to normal. For now, I have a budget keyboard and have been practicing for 2 months now. My WPM, for now, is 72^_^
