is it sad i sorta like blues, but then again my work keyboard is a Model M, so i have always loved the clicky sounds for the audio feedback when a key engages. and i do have the nuphy keyboard in blues, sounds a bit better than my cheap magicforce or whatever it is keyboard with blues (got it for $5 at a thrift store along with a leapold keyboard with browns which is my gaming pc's daily driver)

Great sound! I had never seen adding a bit of glue to the foam: it's a very useful tip to keep it in place while poking holes for the screws

We need stems with rubber dampers like silent switches. Overlubing can do a bit but it's just temporary. Hope they make low-profile silent switches.

Did the same mod and the keyboard definitely sounds thockier, thanks for the instruction! Took me almost 4 hours to complete. I also tried to put a layer of 4mm foam underneath the board, but the available height wasn't enough, causing the board to bulge.

Great video, i've been on the fence about buying this keyboard and i think I'll do it :) Do you think this keycaps can be spray painted or something to different colors? The lack of variety in keycaps for this board is my only remaining gripe

Spray painting keycaps is not recommended. The oils from your hands will erode the paint quickly and the finish will be sticky and unpleasant. Standard MX style keycaps /should/ fit on Gateron Low Profile switches but your mileage may vary.

@@Duskull666 They don't paint them. Generally keycaps are made of double-shot injection molded plastic that has already been pigmented. Sometimes legends are pad-printed but these can wear down much faster than double-shot.

I just ordered the cascade slim because I wanted shine through keycaps and couldn’t find any third party slim caps. It says the switches come pre lubed and with sound dampening foam but I’d love to see what you’d do with it!

It's totally up to how long you use a day and what you do, RGB on/off. For me, turned on only side LEDs(no backlit), I used over a week without charging yet.
