Btw when Dipper got turned to wood in one episode the shapeshifter was in his pod and he shapeshift into Dipper and he got froze and Dipper was froze in wood in the same pose so the shapeshifter knew Dipper would be froze.

Fun facts: the lumberjack ghost was named Archibald Corduroy, an ancestor to Wendy. It’s very neat that they didn’t go the route of “Robbie wants to kill Dipper for breaking them up” in this show. Kinda shows how lame and non-committal Robbie is. The Love God was meant to hook up two women, not a guy and a girl, in the diner, but Disney was still pretty homophobic and said no. As revenge, Alex Hirsch made Mabel’s sweater the gay pride colors. That sneaky devil. Pacifica in some ways suffers parental abuse, so her growth is awesome here. Northwest Mansion Mystery is the only episode to not feature Stan at all. I wonder what he’s up to? We’ll be finding out VERY soon…

S2E9 is easily one of Mabel’s worst points. She pretty much drugs two of her seniors to fall in love with each other-something that Alex Hirsch had to later retcon in the 3rd Journal merchandise. It was retconned that the Love God’s potion effect’s later wore off, and Robbie and Tambry ended up developing actual feelings for each other. Of course, that was just damage control, and it doesn’t change the fact that the forced relationship between Robbie and Tambry got the green light by Disney, but the fruity cops’ relationship was treated as a joke for the show’s whole run. It was the 2010s, so I just bite my lip on the matter now and groan with this episode. 😤

You think that episode with ghosts is dark? Try checking what Code Lyoko does with XANA's ghosts/spectres/multi-agent extension because that is nothing compared to what CL's villain's ghosts do and anything after & before this is nothing in comparison either, it's pure creepy and far darker when it comes to XANA especially with him being about silence but will make unsettling deep voiced laughs & unnatural sounds with humans possessed, Crows even make an eerie & blood freezing scream with their voices blended with his and they show pecking to death is what the villain does to those like one of the heroes Yumi, they make it clear he's absolutely horrifying of a villain and he's indeed unhinged as you expect.

Gravity Falls previous Scariest episodes ("Headhunters", "The Inconveniencing", "Summerween", "Scary-Oke" and "Into the Bunker") walked so "Northwest Mansion Mystery" could run. Literally, this episode takes the cake and blew the other scariest episodes of Gravity Falls out of the water, due to the dark themes featured in this episode, death and of course blood was featured. I guess it's one of the reasons why Disney moved the 2nd Season of Gravity Falls to Disney XD over Disney Channel considering how this Season and this episode wouldn't fly on the Disney Channel. Of course, _The Owl House_ and _Amphibia_ did had some graphic and darker episodes, but those shows didn't happen until years later after this episode came out. Overall, this episode gave development to Dipper and Pacifica Northwest respectively and how you actually sympathize with her on what she's been going through and how her parents especially the father (voiced by Nathan Fillion) really made Pacifica the way she is. Not to mention the dark backstory of Archibald Corduroy (Wendy's ancestor) and his death which would explain why he's haunting the Northwest Mansion as a Ghost. Lastly, this is the *FIRST* and *ONLY* _Gravity Falls_ episode where Grunkle Stan and Soos don't appear and I'm impressed that Alex Hirsch and the voice director of the show brought many guest stars on _Gravity Falls_ many of which you hardly see in a Disney Cartoon series, such as Nick Offerman, Nathan Fillion and of course Alfred Molina, John Oliver and Coolio, especially the former two actors. Plus, this episode is once again directed by Matt Braly the creator of Disney's _Amphibia_ and previously directing the previous episode "Blendin's Game". Can't wait for the next two episodes everyone is looking forward to.

I'm going to be honest and the majority will disagree with me but "Love God" along with another episode set to come later were my least favorite episodes in Season 2 of _Gravity Falls._ I'm sure the majority like the episode and I did enjoy the scene Stan Hot Air Balloon catching on fire, but frankly, this episode didn't do it for me and felt like another version "Boss Mabel" all over again as it didn't contribute to anything to the story or serialization continuity of Season 2 of Gravity Falls, personally it was the only episode of Season 2 that didn’t have an ongoing storyline.

Mabel shouldn't be making fun of people's wardrobe when she wears ugly sweaters. Also a bit of advice to writers: when you spend a lot of time making the rich character as the absolute worst, don't make them sympathetic. We shouldn't feel bad when a bully gets bullied. What we should feel is satisfied.
