Is it still hanging? Must be a heck of a bill for that rental crane.

This epoxy is awesome!!!!! I used it to fill in some small imperfections in an aluminum parts inner walls, then machined it. Amazing stuff absolutely recommend it.

Now let it hang until it actually decouples. How long will it last to failure? No need to lift over 1-2 inches for safety and budget reasons. I guess we were shown hour 18 because at 19 hours it will break free.

Dynamic load would still be way more than what the work load rating on the packaging would be. No worries:)

Which onwe would be good for body kit for car? I dont want to drill holes in the car is there a 3m one specific for cars or fiberglass? Thanks.
@18magicMARKer4 жыл бұрын
fiberglass body panel isn't fiberglass...its fiber glass re-enforced plastic...you'll have to findout why type of plastic your body kit is made of and find the right epoxy for that plastic.

From a European and Irish point of view, why do use 14,550 lbs, why not use 6.5 Ton, you don't buy a car for 2,000,000 cents do you, you buy it for 20,000 Dollars/Euro or sterling, Lowest Common Multiple, learned at age 7-8 in school. Otherwise I like the Video. Thanks

It is only a weight of 14,400 / 4 and that is 3,600 per block which looks to be a surface area of 8"(d)x Pi= 25sq/in + 1"x8" flange= 33 full surface adhesion area or only a weight of 42 pounds per sq/inch Not a crazy number. imagine a well supported cross member with a 1 sq/in" glue bond....... Big deal. Also remember that aluminum & stainless have a 30% greater adhesion than polymers & glass. even less sometimes for wood. Hi end film adhesives can reach over 3000 pounds tensile per square inch.

the epoxy is on the single point above the shackle, not the four attachment points.
@nickrangel1395 жыл бұрын
LOL, that's a lot of thinking to be completely wrong.
@Baigle15 жыл бұрын
its at least ~170lb/sqin since each of the four points doesn't have your estimated 58sqin of contact. still not any good even if the estimations are off.
