Evenfall is quite a solid game, i suspect its one that will improve with its upcoming expansion as it felt just a little thin in places. Still, worth giving a go

I'll never understand how games like these have an expansion planned before it's even released. It really feels like it was originally part of the base game that they broke off as an "expansion" to bait completionists. Or its something thrown together at the last minute, again, to bait collectors.

@@BobLee-df4zhEh, unlike Activision who knows they’re gonna make money off CoD games, some of these designers/publishers have actual production limits and don’t know if the games will sell when they hit the drawing board. They might need draw realistic time frames for item production, which forces them to exclude planned content in the interest of putting a finished product on shelves to make money with. Not to mention that more components does literally add a cost that not everyone will be willing to pay.

This looked and sounded so much like 51st State in places I looked to see if it was the same designer (who already re-implemented that system into Imperial Settlers so it seemed reasonable he'd also do a fantasy version.) That central long board with cards placed built to the side or placed under for ongoing benefits is very similar. But then again loads of games share very similar mechanics so maybe I'm being unfair. Happy to play this but don't think I need it in my collection.

Heh, i had the same though, even got out 51st state during a playtest to show the other players. The games play quite differently though

There's a small mistake in the description: "Apiary in about 3 minutes" should be "Evenfall in about 3 minutes"

The video came out 3 weeks ago for Patrons and Members. Anyway, we do our yearly rebrand on Jan 30 as that's the channel anniversary. So with doing content in advance and that, we always have a little overun period with the years.
