+X-FLIGHT101 Agreed :) Kits are generally more $$.. That might be because you then put more expensive electronics in it though.. Where on the RTR version you'll replace at least the servo anyway? Thank you! :D

+DutchRC Adventures I haven't owned an electric RC YET, apart from a Losi micro. I own nitro RCs so I can't really upgrade the electronics on them apart from the servos and receiver. I have an upgrade servo in my trophy 3.5 because I striped 2 of them and 1 died after water damage.

+DutchRC Adventures Yes sir. Way too much car for me back in the day. I did pick up a new ESC which lets me run lipos and has reverse. The older race spec esc only had brakes.

Kinda gives it that exceed/redcat feel, but i know sakura is a much better brand than those budget ones. I'm looking forward to seeing this run and interesting body choice too. Looks like a really cool drift car, very professional. You should have a great time with it. Maybe you can get magnetic body posts for it? I'm glad you don't like the body posts sticking through, so many drift car drivers always have these massively way too long body posts! Is it fashionable to them?

Hey I was talking to a guy today and he reckons there are RC planes that are entirely held together with rare earth magnets and no screws at all. I said it sounds like a bit of bullshit and that the wings would fall off in hard manouvres, but he said it's true. What do you think? have you seen these?

+Jax Teller RC Yeps.. that IS true :) Those are ultra lightweight indoors planes.. So not fast and no hard manouvres :) They usually consist out of an airframe and a 'powerpod' that snaps onto the airframe with some magnets.. Even the control-links then snap to the rest with magnets..

+Jax Teller RC I have not come across That.. I have to tell you though: the wings on my AcroMaster are only held in with a bit of friction.. No glue or screws.. So magnets would definately work for That... There just isn't a lot of stress in the outward direction..

So, if one had a long enough run way, to get a drift car to speed, then gave full steering, could you do 360's quickly while still moving forward for a bit? That would be cool. Oh, and of course have a quad looking straight down on where you do it ;P Haha, nice unboxing of course. Looks like a nice. Not sure if I would be into building my own car though, I am more into flight, if you couldn't tell ;P

Ik denk dat de aandrijf riem iets te strak staat.Ik weet niet hoe het met het driften zit maar ik had de mijne altijd wat losser staan.lijkt een beetje op de hpi sprint met de accu zo en de motor achter midden.Persoonlijk houd ik niet van driften maar de auto's hebben wel; altijd mooie kappen wat bij het racen anders is.3racing maakt nu dus ook zelf auto's. Toen ik nog wedstrijden reed, maakte ze alleen upgrades en onderdelen waar upgrades relatief is aangezien ze veel aluminium onderdelen maakte die origineel kunststof waren en dat niet altijd ten gunste van de rijkwaliteit kwam. Maar ik had voor mijn Tamiya framepjes altijd wat van 3racing. Servo open maken en draden lossolderen inkorten en terug solderen. en dat kun je ook met die van de regelaar doen.Scheelt een hoop draden.Motor draden kun je ook inkorten. Die kun je ook op het top dek vast zetten.Met een paar kleine aanpassingen heb je ook een leuke toerwagen.Ik twijfel of ik nieuwe onderdelen ga bestellen voor mijn toerwagen. Ik heb er nog 1 maar die is na zijn laaste indoor race deels uitelkaar gehaald om onderdelen te vervangen die het begaven hadden. Is ook de enige die ik na ik stopte niet meer verkocht heb.Doe nu veel met mijn quadcopters. Mijn yaw op mijn zender doet wat raar. Die varieert van uitslag en positie naar hoeveel trotle ik geef. Heb mijn zender gekalibreerd maar dat lijkt niet te helpen. maar het is maar een heel klein beetje en max yaw doe ik toch nooit.Buzzer op mijn nieuwe naze werkt niet om 1 of andere rede maar dat moet ik nog uitzoeken.Zal van de week weer eens wat filmen van hoe ze er nu uit zien en als het mee zit met het weer ook wat vliegen.

+emiel1976ep Thanks voor de input! De voorwiel-belt is wellicht inderdaad iets te strak.. Gelukkig is die makkelijk iets losser te doen :) Ik heb vroeger wel vrij veel offroad (1/8 buggy) wedstrijden gereden, maar daar doe ik eigelijk ook niets meer mee.. Zelfde verhaal eigelijk! Ik heb nog 1 Kyosho Inferno wedstrijd wagen ;) Hm yaw bij throttle.. Dat heb ik nog niet gehad, maar dat lijkt op een motor (of propellor) die wat minder rendement heeft..

+DutchRC Adventures nee in de zender. De cijfers in de zender veranderen als ik de trotle omhoog doe en voorbij het midden weer naar waar de yaw op stond. morgen 2 props wisselen en dan hopelijk vliegen.

Jammer van het weer. Nu de vleugels afmaken. Moet de hardware er nog op zetten op 1 van de 2. Hopelijk word het weer wat beter en warmer.
