I am Black American of Houston Texas. If I had the opportunity to join an organization such as the EFF where I live, it would be my honor. Your leadership is one that is once in a lifetime. He is of the mold of Malcolm X and Marcus Garvey, both who had broad followings and were despised by the ruling establishment. Stay Strong...

The problem is that the only thing that SAns have ever known since the dawn of this democratic dispensation is neo liberal capitalism and we've been so deeply endocrinated into believing that no other economic system would work for us except capitalism

I confess this was some of the most productive almost two hours I have ever spent on KZbin. The EFF is truly far ahead of its time in the South African social and political context in terms of the quality of their core constituents. You would have to be a person of really, really low IQ to have listened to this super intellectual engagement and still doubt that the EFF will always have a central role to play to transform the economy and lives of the Citizens of this beautiful country after 30 years of nothing post-Democracy. Even if the EFF doesn't get into government but any sensible party who do manage to get into government can benefit a lot from adopting most of these industrial and economic policy perspectives we heard presented here today. Shivambu left and still, a positive excess of progressive ideology and policy capacity within the EFF ranks is maintained.

That's what Julius said the other day. The mistake that EFF made was individualizing brilliance, that made people and the public think only certain members were the thinking tanks. When that isn't true. EFF is rich with intelligent people. Thinkers with a heart for people. It's a collective and from now on, EFF should be seen as a collective

We may have to be honest- nothing is spoken about here talks about economically empowering masses. If there is anything it attempts, it is how to shift power from corporate to state. Corporate is about centralisation of wealth and power - government is about centralisation of power and wealth- This centralisation happens under extreme pessimism/optimism of individualism vs pluralism. History has taught South African that the poor of South Africa must not entrust their potential wealth to corporate and government unsell the poor are both themselves the corporate and government. Under our current democracy the poor are government but not corporate. This has made wealth to be concentrated to corporate. Neo-liberal character of South African Democracy is a social-contract of government getting majority powers of the law and minority control of capital. During full blown South Africa Colonisation was law and capital was centralised on corporate - through Dutch Indian Company. During Apartheid law and capital was centralised through government. During this Neo-liberal Democracy, majority of laws are centralised through government and majority of capital centralised through corporate. Through this history the poor has never been part of capital. They, closest the poor have come to what looks like social relief is being made to feel that government owns majority of the law on behalf of the poor... This debate makes an assumption that the poor must trust that EFF government can succeed to own both laws and capital on behalf of the poor. If EFF government loves the poor as much as it claims- why can't envisioned EFF Government allow the poor to own majority of capital and laws directly. Today the coloniser own both the majority of law and capital. This debate does not even come close to addressing that... This debate is nothing but an extension of a university student socialist/capitalist debate --- Reflective of Marxism-Leninism Rhetoric- If only the host could have requested the guests to at least reflect on Frantz Fanon contextualisation of their inputs... Without trying to sound revolutionary- I think this thing of EFF seeking to wait until it is in government to change poor people's lives is something that EFF will be judged very harshly by future generation. The future generation will say EFF was given power- but it was greedy- it wanted more before it could do what it claimed it wanted to do. For example the discussion on education policy framework - that policy is perfect for making the current system that is anti poor just relatively better- however- none of the elevated education policy framework are revolutionary - nothing is decolonising about them... undoing apartheid is not the same as decolonisation - you can do both- like ANC POLICIES- those policies are anti-apartheid but pro-colonial. EFF will also fall in the same trap of generating anti-apartheid policies that are pro-colonial. This total freedom of MKP is also following the same set up for failing the poor... The born free have their own rhetoric of decolonisation of education - but have no clue how... It seems all parties including EFF just have no clue how to decolonise- You will be surprised that Brazil, India is struggling with the same- In fact it is tempting to say the entire Asia is struggling to comprehend how to decolonise- because if you go to all "former" colonies- The coloniser remains the biggest commercial beneficiary and those who have been poor for the past 400 years remain poor - But then comrades- politics are reduced into pop music- as long as it makes people dance its good enough- Our ancestors did not have access to pharmaceuticals- it relied on music for healing physical, emotional and spiritual pain- but today's pop music is not that ambitious - so are our politics... Our politics can not talk for themselves they need a good orienteer for them to secure votes... what happens to EFF the day it does not have a leader that evoke emotions of public segment? If its politics are designed to preserve the status core- In chemistry there are physical transformations that are reversible in nature- characterisation of current politics and there are irreversible chemical reactions- which is what the poor aspire to achieve- irreversible emancipation. And people of South Africa can decolonise themselves if they can get pure political guidance. either from EFF or MKP or ANC... it does not matter from whom.
