I actually cried during this last scene when watching it. It was such a good show!

Julie Delahooke I cried when Harry gave Mary his special coat...it would’ve disappeared anyway when they left, so that’s good. It’s so sad because they made a life on earth. Leaving that life is like them dying, and for everyone else it’s like they died.

John Lithgow is great, the whole cast was great, but John is uniquely terrific in this show. I'm so glad I convinced a friend of mine who wasn't born in the 90s to watch a few episodes of 3rd Rock, because now it's one of her favorite shows too.

...and a couple of decades later, I am binge watching the series from start to finish again. It doesn’t get old! Just as silly, just as funny, and not just funny for it’s time. Not many shows can make that claim. I’m enjoying it all over again and honestly don’t look forward to reaching the end another time ;)

It's funny...my brother and I were huge fans of the show, but the ONLY episode we ever watched in prime time the night it aired was the series finale. Up until then, we had only watched the late-night re-runs. What a genius show! And I swear it's timeless. I have all 6 seasons on DVD, and every now and then I'll pull one out and watch a few episodes. It's every bit as good and relevant now as it was 20+ years ago!

I love this show. It is one of the few great sitcoms that maintained a high level of humor and entertainment from beginning to end of the series. Actually, I think the series ended to soon. But it's good to see it in syndication and be able to watch it now. It still makes me laugh. 3rd Rock also teaches us about the vulnerabilities of humanity and how we all need to be more loving, caring and understanding of each other. In some ways we are all humans and yet all aliens at the same time! Wouldn't a reunion show be great?

So The National Imperial Anthem not only has lyrics in Earthian English but uses a tune from Earth? (On Wisconsin but I'm not sure.) Just kidding, I love the song and the way they sing it so beautifully and triumphantly. They are sad to go but they are grateful for the chance that they have been given and all the lessons that Earth and its people taught them. You can tell they are all fighting off tears. I'm leaking now.😭

Man I want to know what happened after they left. So many questions were left unanswered. Dr. Albright, Nina, Officer Don, Ms. Dubcek, Alissa, Karen, Leon, Bug and Pitman must've all wondered where they went.

Yeah … did they just leave all their stuff at the apartment? What about Dr. Solomon’s physics class? There is a scene floating around KZbin from the ORIGINAL broadcast (thanks for the “uncut” episodes, Mill Creek.) that possibly explains what happened to the class. They all show up to the going away party.
