About the joke he made, about the reason why we are no longer big in the fur trade being another Mette/matter: During Covid, there was a problem with the disease being spread through mink farms, so our ministry of State (under the leadership of our prime minister Mette Frederiksen) sent out a decree that all mink farms had to be shut down and the animals destroyed. They were premature in this because they had yet to get the legal basis for such a decree, so it has been a huge, and potentially very very expensive, issue ever since.

Weeknumbers are big in business around Germany, too. We them to do exactly the same as described in the video. Even my outlook has weeknumbers in the calendar. And it's super convenient to rule out dates for meetings when one could skip whole weeks at once 😃

One of the things that also makes the Danish language so hard to understand is the fact that some of the dialects are super hard to understand.. some one from the southern part of Jylland can usually understand some one from Copenhagen... but rarely the other way around (since the dialect spoken in Copenhagen is as close to the official Danish as you can get) and the dialect from southern Jylland is influenced by German words among other things.

We were a very war like people ever since the Vikings around 900 and all the way up to the modern era we have been at war and most of them against Sweden and often for the ownership of Norway

And our southern region Skåne in Sweden. Still today the dialect in Skåne has many similarities to Danish.

I would like to correct some information. Sweden has the world record with 37 official wars declared as a nation, with Denmark close behind with 35 official wars. no less than 27 of them have been against each other. I guess the 11 count comes from major wars, not sure where they found it

As a Dane since... Birth (39 years ago) - This is the first time i ever learned of that name regisrty. Think the registry they mention mainly are used to look up ex: Witch names were most popular last year :? HAHA! Its not like you need to look for "useable" names at all... If you get twins a boy and a girl - its up to the parents to name them, Whatever it may be (as well as in the rest of the world ill bet). -> About protected names: I'm a member of the "Gønge" family (after the danish legendary Svend Gønge "Gøngehøvdingen") And that specific name is protected. So all called Gønge in Denmark are connected or are a branch of my family :D

Sex in Swedish can mean one of two things. To have Sex (intercourse) and Six (number 6). So counting from 1 to 6 would be "ett, två, tre, fyra, fem, sex...".

Its funny...... when looking at Brazil from Europe, they seem have so many hardships to endure so i end up always wanna hug'em, you are still our long lost cousins❤, potentially dangerous for my wallet i suppose, now that i know what happens to my phone in public🤣🤣 I find Brazil language really pleasing to the ear, there's a different tone or melody from Portuguese original that differ /Dane viewer

Yu talking about both the Danish language and the name of weekdays made me think of something that you might not know... The weekdays in Danish and also Norwegian and Swedish (but also in English speaking countries) are named mandag/Monday, tirsdag/Tuesday, onsdag/Wednesday, torsdag/Thursday, fredag/Friday, lørdag/Saturday and søndag/Sunday and are named after the old Norse gods and deities. mandag/Monday: named after the moon tirsdag/Tuesday: named after the Norse God Tyr onsdag/Wednesday: nmaed after the Norse God Odin/Wotan torsdag/Thursday: named after the Norse God Thor fredag/Friday: named after the Norse Goddess Frigg lørdag/Saturday: means laundry day søndag/Sunday: named after the sun So, to this day, the names of the weekdays in Scandinavia AND English speaking countries are actually heathen ! 😉

denmark beng big in animal agriculture is because of the US. as the US came into being and took shape there was a lot of farm land being cultivated producing a lot of grain and the like. the danish farmers had problems due to crop prices going down as a result. danish farmers shifted into specialicing in animal instead
