Sure miss those days where you could catch trout out of the back of your truck on the Flagship pier. Everyone knew each other, helped with drop nets to get the large sows up. It was like a big party there, especially at night under the lights in the summer. Wade out on the beach before dawn on the west end of the island, then return to "basecamp" at the Flagship........such was life from '89-'07. Great video, glad to be subscribing.

Great video Jeff. Love that you show it takes work. If they aren't in one place move to another. We saw some hog Specks come out at SWP weekend before last, right as the tide was dropping. Hit the tail end so I only got one. Then Ray and I just spent a couple hours donating leaders to the rocks. 😂

I remember the surf being like that for a few weeks in a row back in late May. I went a few days too late. Only ended up with bigass gaftop and a load of whiting. Specs don't hang around much when water is that clear for long.

If it's a bucket list item, you need to go fish the brackiish shallows and canals near Marco Island in South Florida. Even better... Get a slot snook in the same fisheries. You can actually keep them and they're delicious.

I would suggest a ruler that you can apply to ur rod or small retractable tape measure. Academy has the rod rulers. A mistake could be costly. Good Fishing !!
