3sixteen CS-100xk Rinsed Indigo Kibata Selvedge Jeans - Classic Straight

3sixteen keep on producing some of the most amazing denim products to date. Their 12oz stonewashed denim jacket being one. This time around they have released a lovely raw unsanforized indigo selvedge denim featuring a more straight cut. Meet the CS-100xk. The denim is so lovely in the hand. Its custom woven exclusively for 3sixteen by Kuroki Mills in Okayama, Japan and has been woven at low tension to give it a rough, abrasive hand that will yield beautiful fading results over time. The denim has had a slight rinse to eliminate shrinkage and bring out the texture and character of the fabric even further. Fit wise, the cut is a vintage straight leg cut with a high rise, room in the top block and a slight taper from the knee down.

I have the shadow denim version for the Classic Straight Kibata’s. They’re sublime! The fabric is so very unique. To my eye the kibata shadow denim it’s a more interesting blue then their sanfonized denim. They fade incredibly.

Perfect cut, looks great with one cuff to look taller and two cuff for that indie looks! Do you have any suggestions or pick up for Black Selvedge? Harder to come across a good black pair

Any updates on your older jeans? How could you break them in if you keep having new ones?

These are only to review. Not mine I'm afraid. In terms of other pairs, like I said in my Aisora video I am not buying any more pairs. I'll just be rotating 2-3 depending on the weather. My older pairs that have pretty much faded out (3sixteen, RGT etc) I have pretty much stopped wearing.

I dunno how hot your summers get, but where I am, 12oz is the most you can reasonably do in the summer, if not ideally 10oz or less. Honestly, wearing jeans in the summer where I am is a statement lol. My heaviest pair is 12.5oz.

Here in North Carolina even lightweight denim is out of the question in the summer, mid May to late September!

I hear ya. In the UK where we generally have terrible weather year round I can get away with it. Saying that, the last few years we have had some unbearable summer 'spells' only a few days but all I can wear is linen. These jeans are pretty loose, I'd say they would be ok in warmer months (on a rubbish day)
