They were the world champions of unique, versatile music in the 90's. God, the 90s seem so cheesy in hindsight, but yet the 90s was pretty solid in alot of ways. There was alot of cheap LSD and over half of the Patton era FNM albums were recorded and released. The president of the USA was a sax playing stoner with a weakness for women. Rave parties became a huge thing, which is okay if you like techno and EDM (and you like when teenagers have a cheap venue where they can listen to computerized music while they take designer drugs and have Earth scorching sex) It was a pretty good decade for freedom in America, probably the final decade for freedom in America. Special thanks to the UK for rave parties. 🤩🤩🤩 Brain cells I will never get back....
@markrago50245 жыл бұрын
Oh, and yeah Faith no More are extremely underappreciated by the casual music listening public. Chuck Mosley was a boss, but Mike Patton is just his own entirely unique tier of talent. The guy should damn near have a genre to himself called Patton Core maybe.

I was never a huge fan of FNM, but I love how they let their style and aesthetic age along with themselves, it's a smart move and it pays off. The all-white summer resort attire and the floral arrangement makes a strangely endearing contrast with the metal music, which is exactly what they're going for. Honestly, I feel worse for bands that reunite in their 50s and pretend they're still in their 20s, in order to please fans who still have an image of their favorite band being young.

Can you feel it, see it, hear it today? If you can't, then it doesn't matter anyway You will never understand it cuz it happens too fast And it feels so good, it's like walking on glass It's so cool, it's so hip, it's alright It's so groovy, it's outta sight You can touch it, smell it, taste it so sweet But it makes no difference cuz it knocks you off your feet You want it all but you can't have it It's cryin', bleedin', lying on the floor So you lay down on it and you do it some more You've got to share it, so you dare it Then you bare it and you tear it You want it all but you can't have it It's in your face but you can't grab it It's alive, afraid, a lie, a sin It's magic, it's tragic, it's a loss, it's a win It's dark, it's moist, it's a bitter pain It's sad it happened and it's a shame You want it all but you can't have it It's in your face but you can't grab it What is it? It's it What is it?...
