She really shows vulnerability in this scene by saying "You think so". She actually values hook's opinion and trusts him. That type of trust doesnt exist between her and Neal, theres always gunna be doubts

Oh, and one more thing. Hook's absolute faith in Emma and her ability to do whatever she sets her mind to is huge. OK, maybe two more things. Hook putting her first and declaring his intention to fight for her is also huge. Throughout her entire life, people have sacrificed her and her happiness for some greater good. Hook wants to put her first. I think she's starting to realize that.

Love this scene! A few observations: 1. Emma clearly has some feelings for Hook. If she really wasn't interested in him, she would have shut him down. 2. Hook was absolutely honest with her. 3. Neal appeared more like a third wheel/comic relief than a viable romantic alternative. 4. IMO that was THE most romantic speech yet on OUAT. 5. If a man like Hook said THAT to me, I would melt into a puddle at his feet!

One detail I love about this scene is Emma's "well you are a pirate", which clearly bothers Killian. It's just nice to see her calling him a hero by the season finale (and him accepting himself as one at the end of s4). It's just nice. The y'know, win your heart line also gives me all the fuzzies when I remember the fact that these dorks are married with children now.

AH! I could not help but think of Damon and Elena from vampire diaries in this scene! Captain Swan and Delena have SO many parallels! Damon said something like this to Elena once, pretty much saying im going to win you fair and square. Two of my favourite ships! And hook could not be more straight forward with Emma which makes him more attractive to me. However I did feel for him when Emma characterized him as a pirate. His face said it all! I love Captain Swan!

they're SO different. ew don't even compare.. emma is nothing like elena and hook is nothing like damon and if by playing fair damon meant; hitting on elena (HIS BROTHER'S GIRLFRIEND) while his brother is sacrificing himself to save him, if this is fair, damon and i have different ideas of what fair means. besides, hook would NEVER break henry's neck bc emma reject him (like damon did with elena's brother) on the contrary, he protects the ones emma cares about. Hook is completely selfless when it's comes to emma. he would do anything for her even if she's not with him. if emma says to him that she love neal and that it's always going to be neal, he would leave her to be happy with neal. Because that's how much he cares about her happiness, more than his own.
