You know what's even funnier? The big cargo crates don't fit in so that you could stack them. So unless you have someone holding a crate up while you load the bottom container the carrack is losing 3x24SCU of cargo. Maybe it will be fixed when the pods lower but until then we're stuck with lower max cargo.

@friendlyspacedragon7250 and the silly elevators into the cargo pods, wasting space. And the catwalk. I never understood why Chris doesn't hire or consult an architect.

Yea, it is more like a emergency solution.

Hey Cam, can you do an updated video on solo play and what CR has said? That Space Tomato video where Croncy said that "there is no solo play, it's an MMO" was pretty bad 😅

Looks like it may be close if and when they drop down.

FYI: An Ursa will fit in The Reclaimer if you shoot the wheels off. It makes an excellent make-shift MedBay!

So apparently there is a limited sale on ships again on cig, ive been able to put in Pioneers to my basket for 23 minutes now, doesn't seem to be limited, weird thing is that all other ships are sold out, there only seem to be pioneers witch usually go in seconds, and its probably been up there for an hour and 10 minutes. Limited until CIG lacks money

You should try using the Argo ATLS or MPUV Tractor for areas where you cant drive into such as fitting a Nova in the Hangar of the Polaris
@breezie3366 сағат бұрын
If the make the Pods lower down, it might fit.
@armedcommandent12 сағат бұрын
It looks like it might clear once the pod can drop, but then you have the walk way in the middle and it also looks too wide to fit the wheels in.
@Velthus22 сағат бұрын
you should try re-testing the SRV. apparently some discussion on spectrum about it🤣

If it cant fit in polaris how can u dream it fits in carrack😂 (not even meant for combat)

Meh, I just got rid of the obsolete Carrack. It sat in the corner like a treadmill which is sad as a treadmill is actually useful. It hangs clothes nicely.

Looking at the image that has the truck and the cyclone, it looks like they are not on the same scale... a character that fits in the cyclone would be too big to fit inside the truck. I'm guessing that this is a problem with scale (i.e. a meter as defined in the game engine is not the same as a meter IRL). What would it look like if you normalized the truck and tank sizes relative to the size of a SC character?

So frustrating, at least 4.0 comes with a wipe to reduce the amount of people with a ballista. Gives CIG time to consider fixing things.... Not that time appears to mean things get done 😢

You assume that 4.0 is coming soon? LOL

to me its just shocking we dont have ground vehicle with a cargo bed, that could hold day one 24 or 32 scu box

In the original design, the Carrack cargo containers were removable pods. Is this still even supposed to happen or is it yet another design element that was forgotten/removed?
@CamuralКүн бұрын
@disky01 I asked the same question in the video. The Carrack cargo pods are suppose to be detachable.

Sense of scale is the thing Star Citizen does best. And even that doesn't make any fucking sense in practice.
@nm3-g5pКүн бұрын
Plus, the Balista still doesn't have the ground clearance or chassis height that it should, which, if it did, would even make it more difficult to fit, even in other ships, probably..
@CamuralКүн бұрын
@nm3-g5p Atlas platform (Ballista, Centurion, Spartan) is just sad: Very low ground clearance, still way too tall. Why? Because CIG insists on a *standing* walk able interior and players/NPC are Michelin Man because of CIGs bad metrics. As a consequence vehicles are way too big in Star Citizen. The only ships that can carry a Ballista right now are Hercules and 890.
@nm3-g5pКүн бұрын
@@Camural I think it kind'a makes sense that vehicles in SC (or any space sim. game) have walkable interiors, because those vehicles have to go into very harsh, inhospitable locations, and have their components access inside, and sometimes even living quarters, which requires more space to move around, and thus, more larger vehicles result from that. Also, those vehicles need to withstand the power of advanced weapons - more armor and defensive systems, and need to be fully hermetic or pressure safe, which makes them become larger, as well. But SIG could still made the interiors less larger, and to the point where the characters would slouch or crouch, while moving around - like in the lower corridor section of the Mercury. I think CIG could introduce adaptive suspension to their vehicles, as for them to adjust the the height of the vehicle. And also adaptive wheel axis turn angle, on all wheels. That would improve the turn angle on vehicles, significantly.

Nice try.... witziger Versuch 😅 Ich hoff mal, dass sie bei der Carrack die Ladeluken noch bis nach unten absenken lassen.

@the_babbleboom Carrack also has this silly elevator going into the cargo pods, one elevator for each pod, wasting space that could be used for cargo. If CIG thinks we should be able to get into the cargo pods, have a ladder, wasting much less space.
