I do like how his movies follow the classic action movie trope but he is certainly not as good in action sequence compared to guys like Van Dam or Arnie. One of my favs with Jason is The One with Jet Li but obviously thats mainly because of Jet Li who has some amazing action sequences in a lot of movies like that one and The Black Mask. Thas was funny about the Black Mask is the bad buy looked like an Asian Ozzy Osbourne lol.

I mean, the fact that they prey on elderly ppl most, and that's who falls for it most, is telling. Many feel out of their depth w/ technology, and don't even know that these kinds of scams are possible technologically--the things like re-writing the html is something they don't know is possible, literally. People can spoof phone numbers of real organizations, like helpdesks and companies, easily--I've done that before w/ an app for another reason. And then you figure in older ppl who have some kind of dementia onto that, and the number of victims sadly increases. The way they encourage him here to 'go for his country and his medals' shows how willing they are to take advantage of mental confusion.

My friend says he's the luckiest guy on the planet (his hyperbole, not mine). I was visiting him when he was on the phone with a scammer. I listened to it for about 2 minutes. Dude wanted access to his computer. My friend had downloaded the software already, he was ready to give the guy access to everything, when I asked him to give me his phone. I simply told the guy, "Microsoft would never ask an user to do it. Lose this number". Then I had to explain to my pal what had just happened. These scammers have no morals. Despicable people.

My best friend is a person who would never fall for a scam like this. If you met her, you'd think it's impossible. And I'm sure it would be... normally. One day, about two years ago, she got a call at the worst time possible. Probably the worst day of the year for her, in the middle of an extremely stressful situation and reduced to a bundle of nerves, she happened to get the call at the worst of times. The scammer had her running random netstat commands and telling her that someone was "stealing her IP". Thankfully, she had the good idea of texting me during the call: she told me that "apparently someone was stealing her IP", and after a couple of questions I realised it was a scam. It took a fair bit of convincing (she _was_ in a panic, after all), but thankfully she realised it was a scam too and it all ended well. Sometimes our friends get lucky like this.

I was actually in the process of being scammed a while back by the Microsoft scam where they tell you that you were hacked and everything, thank god while I was waiting for them to do stuff on anydesk I was also watching KZbin on my phone. I saw one of your videos and you had just started talking about anydesk and how it is used by scammers to get into your computer. I continued to watch the video with headphones on and the scammer followed the exact same script as the one you were baiting. I baited my scammer for a little while saying word for word what you were telling the scammer you had on the line and tied this guy up for a good long while. Unfortunately I didn't have your skills, tools and know how so I wasn't able to get much information out of him, but you saved me from a scammer without even knowing it. Now I always answer scam likely calls in order to mess with them. It is my new favorite pastime, especially because I can do many different accents and voices without using voice changers. So thank you again for all you and yours do and I wish you luck in taking down your targets.

My cousin was just scammed for everything she has, her life savings, her car, everything. At 65 yrs of age and disabled it will be near impossible to regain any loss. She is very depressed and feels foolish. Thank you for the services you are providing.

Sorry to hear that and she’s not alone. There’s thousands of victims each month that get tricked by these scammers😢🙏🏽
@josephmother26596 ай бұрын
Please remind her she is not foolish, these people work VERY hard to streamline their scam scripts and “believable” reasonings to get anybody’s money that they can. Even people who work in technology/security are susceptible to being tricked and it only has to happen once.

I have followed SP for awhile, and taught my hubby to always ask where the phone calls are coming from when he figures it's bogus. He likes to mess with them by keeping them busy like he's going to buy whatever they're pushing, but as soon as he asks if they're calling from Kolkata or New Delhi... amazing how fast they hang up. They try to sell us PC protection, Norton, etc., for computers we don't even have.

I struggle with the thought that there are people who can believe a legitimate business will ask you to put cash in a box and mail it as a way of paying an overage. If im told $15,000 was mistakenly put in my bank instead of a $150 refund, I'd say send me a bill in snail mail, goodbye.

I was walking through a big box store and saw an older man looing for Apple cards. My Nana self kicked into gear when I notied his hat, a Vet of the US Army Corp of Engineers had chosen about six cards and I had to stop and I said to him. "Sir, father was on the USS Forstall, thank you for your service. Can I ask you a question?". He told me his connection to the service while pulling the cards from that card stand so I politely listened and thank him again. Then I said, "Sir, do you know those cards are used by scammers to steal you money?" He said he knew that and so I asked if he was ok and knew how that scam worked. He thanked me and smiled but as I walked away I felt uneasy. Such a nice guy and a great asset to America. I hope the monsters didn't get him.

I used to work at a Rite Aid- saw it regularly and too often, the older people who were clearly being scammed did not want to listen to a young kid on how not to get scammed. Say whatever you want, but if you are buying $1500 in gift cards and taking pictures of them in the parking lot, you are probably getting screwed.
