This is a perfect example of what you can do with our portable DuroMax generators. We love that you included the cost versus a permanent generator. Overall, enjoyed watching your video and glad there are people like you who are willing to educate how cost effective owning a portable generator really is!

Nice build! I’m currently working on my own build now! My 10 yr old son’s quick thinking helped save his mommy’s life! He ran down to a neighbors house for help to setup and start the generator to run her oxygen concentrator after running out off reserve oxygen tanks!

i like the work. Not over engineered lke many of the diyers. Mostly common sense and good take on necessities. Shed looks tougher than most like the suncast. Looks like a lifetime shed (plate). Only thing I would have included would be rockwool and also a temp sensor inside. Like the work.

Would greatly appreciate a list of materials for the build. I'm especially interested in the venting and exhaust aspects as I'm in the build process currently. Many thanks.

Didn't really make up a build list. I used stuff I had and purchased some things the biggest problem was finding the right size exhaust hose and attaching it. I used GenExhaust for Duromax 1-1/2" steel exhst ext (5ft) www.ebay.com/itm/144701238725 . I went through multiple other exhaust for amazon and ebay and ended up having to just purchase this. I used exhaust weld in a tube to seal that attachment along with a single screw to give the connection even more strength.

Sorry, I didn't really make up a build list. I used stuff I had and purchased some things. After doing some research I kinda just built it on the fly.

You might also use an earth anchor and chain or cable to further discourage theft.

Looks good! Will you list everything you used for the exhaust and the backboard? Thanks!

The clicking and clacking on the audio sucks. Decent build though I'd worry more about heat. Thanks for sharing!

This looks amazing, Can you provide a list of what all you purchased to complete this project and where you purchased. This is exactly what I'm looking to do with My Duromax generator.

so you did all that and didn't do a whole house hookup with interlock kit?
@JDowell057 ай бұрын
Didn't show it in this video but I did install a whole house hookup and the proper interlock kit on the box. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nmq9nZ5mYsqBesUsi=yMkzN3JkfZ8_7xVq

My generator has a carbon monoxide sensor that will shut down generator if level gets too high. Is there enough circulation with this set up that my generator will not shut down?
@JDowell057 ай бұрын
I tested my set up in San Antonio 90 degree weather for 2 hours without any issues. I do have a cheap box fan in my setup to turn on for air intake help if I'm using my system in our crazy hot 105+ degree summer heat (not shown in the video). A cheap box fan or two can be used instead of a exhaust fan or intake fan. All up to you. You don't have to spend money to be safe and get the job done.
