Nice work. I wished they had this years ago, would have saved a few choice words. I will do this on my next boat.

Mine is a mercruiser on a Rinker boat. Lots of room to work on it. Sorry, no ideas for you

I have been thinking about putting this on my 5.7 liter merc inboard. Seemed like it was a very simple upgrade. Can you do a update? Has this been a good choice? The only reason I want to upgrade is I live in Alaska and I have had alot of issues with warm ups with the old carb. I sit at the dock for 15 mins maybe even 20 mins warming up the carb and sometimes still have idle issues. Have you had any idle issues after this upgrade? Thanks

I have had no issues. It starts great every time, idles smooth, and I don't ever kill it anymore. It was a great upgrade and I would recommend it. It was easy to do. I'm not a mechanic.

Was it a noticable difference?
@Wingnut353 Жыл бұрын
There should not be a very noticeable difference vs a well tuned carb... except that it should start more reliably with less fiddling than a carb (less chance of fouling flooding and other carb related issues). That said with sensors installed its probably easier to get it right with the EFI.

Better fuel economy now?

I feel I have better performance in all areas. Easier to start, it doesn't hesitate on takeoff, and it doesn't go through as much fuel.

@@brianwindingland9595 Are those kits throttle body injection or MPI? I just bought a boat with a 4.3 last year after doing some research and am a big fan of the motor.
