4Batz's performance was what I expected. As an industry professional, I know that in specific genres of music, you won't find what went down in the studio showing up on stage. Why? Because of technology. Even in R&B, some artists' recordings are artificially enhanced through technology. But throughout the 70s-90s, artists like Kraftwerk, Cher, Stevie Wonder, Afrika Bambaataa, Peter Frampton, Electric Light Orchestra, Beck, and even Herbie Hancock have used vocoder techniques in their music. It's creative and unique, and that's fine. But after listening to this performance, we can ask the question: did 4Batz really need it? I don't think so. His music grows on you, and his natural voice is acceptable. A thing about vocoder technology is that what it does is significantly alter an artist's voice, creating a robotic effect that's hard to replicate in a live performance. This might explain why 4Batz sounds different live compared to his records. Overall, 4Batz is a fine artist with or without AI effects. His natural talent shines through, and his artistic vision is clear. I believe he will do well, but his publicists need to straighten out any kinks, be able to explain the situation better, and mostly stay on top of critics who might try to undermine him before he gets a really good start in the industry. Managing his image and addressing negative feedback swiftly is crucial to helping him navigate the industry's challenges and continue to thrive.
