Thank you so much for the video. I haven’t been told if I have hernia or pinched nerve by the doctors. It hurts when lay down on my back or front. Standing up hurts too but if I open my legs widely while I stand up it feels much better. It is hard to find any exercise that doesn’t hurt my leg. The pain goes to side of my outer lower leg to the sides. What exercises I can do? Do you mind sharing your thoughts with me on this? I am not sure also if I should keep heat pads for 24 hrs a day. I am not sure anymore if it is helping.

I have pinch nerve in my let side all the way down in my leg I can’t stand up straight looking for best physical therapy at queens thank you?

Hi. I have trapped nerve in right legs. When I am doing this exercise, I heard click in my back, under the right shoulder blade. This exercise make my body feels better, bug when I am doing this, there is sharp pain going into my right shoulder, very sharp one. Can you guide in this matter. I subscribed already. Thanks

Good tips but what if your symptoms are bilateral?( I’m looking for exercises for some relief while i wait for my appointment with a back specialist.

These often work for people with unilateral and bilateral BUT they don’t work for everyone. There are many other exercises that work well for people but we would need to evaluate you to see what YOUR best exercise program is. By the way this is often solvable without surgery. I could do this in my bed I can't go on the floor I had 2 knee replacement they donot lower me to go to the floor.i try I also have Nurves Problem. Sciatica I will try in my bed ill try to get on the floor.

What about a pinched nerve in your neck that causes pain in the left arm? I'm waiting to get an MRI to confirm the pinched nerve.

Have scoliosis with Harrington rod/fusion since over 40 years ago. Now arthritis, DDD, and keep getting pinched nerve in L5-S1 as confirmed by mylegram. Dr. just keeps suggesting injections. I don't want to keep doing those or other meds to "band-aid" the symptom. How can I actually work to relieve the real reason for the pain which sometimes goes down like sciatica, and sometimes affects my lateral heel with pain that makes it hard to walk. Also, what's the best way to sleep with this kind of impinged nerve? I wish I could come visit you but I'm in another state. :)

Hey, thanks for sharing your story. Normally we attempt to take the approach of adding movement in surrounding regions if at all possible. An example would be if your low back moves too much at the L5 S1 region and the hip on the same side can potentially move more in theory, adding more motion to your hip with something like walking, would spare the spine. Remember, this is all theoretical, and there’s no way to tell if this would actually work for you unless we actually perform an assessment. Do a discovery session which is a consultation to see if we can even help in the first place. We see many people with degenerative disc disease, and arthritis and tend to have pretty good success as long as the expectation are in line with what is possible. What if I don’t feel it in my leg at all? I had a pinched nerve, like a shock to my lower back, then inflammation started and could walk or do anything for 3-4 days. Is that also sciatica?

Maybe a variation of it. You’d need a detailed physical exam to know for sure. One test or an image doesn’t give enough detail in most cases. If you want some help with it just reach out via our site

There are many different variations we use for these exercises. Typically we hand pick the best variation for each person based upon a thorough physical assessment and their physical capabilities. For example, we wouldn’t give a squat to someone who could not perform one due to knee pain. If you’d like some help, please reach out to us.
