The reason of putting unsalted butter in coffee is that it causes a chemical reaction with the coffee when it’s mixed in. If I can recall correctly it slows down the instant burst of energy that you get from a regular cup of Joe. Instead of feeling really jittery from the caffeine early on and having a hard crash later on in the day the butter helps release the caffeine evenly throughout the day so you’ll still have the energy. This version of coffee is really popular in Ketogenic diet.

The pancake mix squeeze bottle. Instead of using one of those heinz bottles, I use a cheap o ketchup/mustard/condiment bottle you see at BBQ places at the table. For better application, you cut some of the tip off the bottle to make the opening wider.

For the hashbrowns I'd recommend putting them on their side. Medium low setting, twice. They get crispy with the twice cooked and putting them on their side means they actually get heat all the way through. Yes, you'd have to turn your toaster over if you don't have think tongs but if you're in such a place you need to use the toaster anyway, be willing to turn it over.

I think it's because the people in this video are using frozen hash browns. But I'd still use a toaster oven for crisper browns and more evenly cooked (and this could also help you if you don't want to start a grease fire with a toaster). Seriously, I think that's how to get the best result because if you might not have such even cooking with a toaster and if Michelle thinks the toaster would get these browns soggy, imagine how soggy they'll be in the microwave.
@TT-sp3me4 жыл бұрын
You’ll have to cook the hash browns frozen and keep cooking them in high heat so the oil will dry up in the hash brown. Not only that most toasters I had has drop pans at the bottom so you can pull them out and clean it. You can also wait until it cools down and run some water and soap through it and wait until it completely dries to reuse the toaster.

If anyone is curious, adding butter and coconut oil to coffee supplies healthy fats and oils early in the morning, combined with the caloric intake of coffee, as a substitute for protein and carbohydrates to keep your body in a "fasting" state until you eat real food a few hours later. The Bulletproof diet is...different. It has merit, but it is almost completely unsustainable for anyone who doesn't have an above-average amount of money for their food budget. Also if you're not 100% dedicated to it, you're gonna gain weight super fast instead of lose it. I will say that I've moved to grass-fed butter all the time, though - it's hands down better than normal stick butter or margarine.
