Don't take these criticisms personally. They often reveal more about the critic's own issues than about you. You do not need to apologize for your hard work and drive. No one should criticize you, everyone makes mistakes in poker (not saying it was a mistake), and there's no excuse for tearing down someone who puts themselves out there and works hard. These detractors often hide behind a computer, trying to make you feel bad while they achieve nothing themselves. Keep your head held high and persevere in pursuing your goals. You've already achieved some amazing things in your life and should be nothing but proud of your accomplishments. The people who recognize this will come along with you for the ride and support you all the way. The haters will just spew words at you, but they will come along too. The best thing you can do is ignore them! I commend you for putting yourself out there and always giving your best.

You have spoken my mind. Its funny how everyone acts like theyre poker guru behind their screens and berate her while they havent achieved anything. But what was even more funny was people making results oriented comments and saying she shouldve folded JJ and someone also said she shouldve flat called 4-bet out of position with Jacks. I was cracking up reading these comments. It literally goes to show how clueless lot of them are that theyre not worth the time to even bother to give attention to. Lot of these haters probably cant even buy into the cheapest WSOP $200 side events.

So totally unrelated to this video, but an older one I have to tell you a story from this past week. I was at my mom's visiting for a few days and we were chatting about healthy snacking, as that's the one area I struggle with when trying to eat clean. I kid you not, she busts out these little protein ball snacks and I burst out laughing, because they were just like the ones that lady brought #MoreBob in a video like last week or the week before. Thought that was nuts, and it's a great example about how these daily summer vlogs really do connect your audience to you to. I never realised the amount of criticism that is being pumped out there. You are person/s in the world sharing your personal poker experience which I think is a priviliege for us (especially when these folks asre getting all this content for free!) but again the interweb weighs in with polarising opinions. Busting in tournament poker is a given. There is only one player per event that doesn't bust out. All-in with jacks is fine there unless you are playing old-man coffee who will only 4 bet aces/kings. You were a long way from the money where ICM was a thing. Sometimes you just end up running into it.

Lexy. Im surprised you even bothered asking pros regarding JJ hand. Against loose aggro, i felt its standard to 3-bet or shove. But good to know 3-bet was a better play. I personally wouldve shoved. Either way, both players are getting it in. But I'm glad you posted that hand because it exposed how many clueless trolls and haters are there. Reading comments like fold JJ against aggro because its the main event or flat-call villains' 4-bet for half of ur stack despite being out of position to be safe, made me 🤣. Keep ya head up!!!! 😉 Dont let these clueless trolls and haters make you doubt yourself.

Over the years of watching KZbin videos and reading comments, I’ve figured out how I like to play JJ both in cash and tournaments. I’ll always open with a raise with JJ and if I get 3 bet I just call and play post flop accordingly. If someone raises in front of me, I will rarely 3 bet JJ so I don’t get blown off my equity. People think your play in the Main was a punt I think because 30 bbs is a very playable stack. I think your competitive advantage in tournaments is navigating the streets post flop, and that’s the place where I think you want to be in most case for the most reasonable price possible.

According to my charts, JJ is a call on the button facing RFI from any position 🙂 I agree with the charts with 30+ blinds. JJ is a set mining hand in the main. Vs an aggro with history though the charts are out the window.

Wonderful Lexy, at 10:05 you are being hypocritical / inconsistent when you said you can’t play differently just because it’s the main event. In prior videos and in comment you justified playing the full house passively because it’s the main event I don’t think the bust hand was played brutally. I get your mindset on the move. He very easily based on his prior aggression could have had middle pair or AQ. I’d love to know Bob’s honest opinion (no camera & without lexy hearing responses on both hands)

Wouldve been cool to see you at Day 8 also. Kristen Foxen is 5th in chips with 18 players left. And she's not just some random woman who happened to get far. She's a professional grinder. I hope she wins. I dont think any woman has ever made the final table of the main event from what my friend told me. He said Gaelle Baumann got farthest and she bubbled out 10th place and its only because she got screwed over by tournament director who saved the clown who shoved all in and then mucked the cards before Gaelle had a chance to call with her Kings, and since mucked hand was not retrievable, Director allowed the clown to pull his chips back and move forward with next hand. And that same clown was the one eliminating her and bubbling her out. It would be cool to see Kristen Foxen make the final table and even take it down, creating history. Hopefully next year, your vlog will show Day 8+ Main Event. 😁

I just started learning PLO. 2 weekends ago, I didnt even end up playing poker in Vegas because of few hiccups at my friend's house in Vegas and also, he was playing PLO on WSOP online. He won $4.5k throughout the weekend. Basically its a wild holdem. You get dealt 4 cards. But at the end, you can only use 2 of 4 cards from your hand. Flop turn and river is the same as holdem but you can only use 3 of 5 cards on the board. And using your 2 cards and 3 cards on the board, you make the best 5 card hand. Its wild. Lot of backdoor draws, and how best 2 of 4 cards in your hand can change based on every street is insane. Its a crazy game. Prime example. My friend has 9 9 T J. Flop is 9 2 3. Using his pair of 9s, he has a set of 9s. But turn came out 8 and river came out 7. So instead of using his pair of 9s, his best 2 of 4 cards is now TJ because he will be using 9 8 7 from the board to create a straight. Hope that explanation helps in terms of learning the rules. I barely learned the rules but never played a single hand in Omaha. Hopefully I can play one day. But my friend warned me that PLO requires lot higher bankroll than holdem due to crazy variance.

Bob and Lexy are not grinders. Grinders don’t show up late and have crapload of money in my opinion. I feel grinders are those that are playing day in day out 8-14 hours a day. The Mathers are more poker pros and content creators
