Worst manager I ever had was super "Input focused". I was store manager, he was DM. I remember one month when my store was the only store in the district in the black, but we were so positive that the district was in the black. He got his monthly bonus on the back of my staff. I got repaid by being dragged into his office and hollered at for an hour because I only averaged 52 hours a week in store that month. 30% gains didn't matter. Leading the district in every measurable metric didn't matter. He was pissed because I wasn't clocked in for as much time as he'd like. Only averaging 12 weekly hours of overtime on my salary. Suffice to say I wasn't with that company much longer, so really he did me a favor.

Worst Manger I had was the one I recently had. He makes himself “bigger” than he really is. He constantly would tell me I needed to fix things and do better but never would help be succeed. I think the bigger issue though I had is that he constantly compares the company with his past experiences ,, I feel it is understandable for a while, but if you been with the company for a few years, then you dont need stop comparing the eggs.

That is an ORIGINAL Mac. I bought that in Feb of 1984, just weeks after the famous Mac Super Bowl commercial. Love that thing.

I love your videos and they inspire me to either make inner changes or move forward when I can't I feel sorry to agree with you on the masked image of success that many managers have....maybe they are just good to sell a vision, without necessarily giving the answer

I had a manager tell me "I don't care what you do but don't make me look bad".

"Like cockroaches" Seriously? I understand that performance can be on a scale of great to bad. But I think "people" regardless of competence shouldn't in any circumstance be compared to insects in a derogatory manner. I'm not a manager and I've found almost all videos likeable, even this one until that last statement.

@@zshn I think you are mistaking the use of a common analogy for a personal slight.
