Jorge Everyone has their own taste and opinions it's up to the individual, myself I like both styles. I like chukka boots as well as chukka skate shoes, also like Chelsea and many other styles of boots. We come in all shapes and sizes as ppl and have different lifestyles, what might be good for one individual may not work for another or vise versa. I'm sure the Thursday desert boots are a fine product, but I've been wearing Clarks since 1965 when I was 10, and still do. Never had a problem with Clarks as far as quality goes, and while they don't exactly give them away, the price isn't that outrageous. I need a more compelling reason other than price and quality to try another brand.

You really can’t go wrong with Clark’s, and honestly I don’t think Thursdays are even trying to compete with the legacy brand. They are cheaper, and the quality mirrors that. If you can afford Clark’s there is no reason to get Thursdays. I’m not bashing Thursdays, I prefer them myself, just realistically Clark’s are a level up that I don’t feel the need to own, and I totally respect those who do wear them.

The difference is in the quality of the leather / suede and the welt. A better quality will last decades when good year welted because you can resole them. With that said, Thursdays aren't the pinnacle for quality. They are a mid range at best. If you think 250 is bad don't bother looking at real quality boots. You will end up in the 400 range but they will last for 10s of years instead of one season at best.

I treated my suede chukka boots and the color got darker. But they still look brand new. I prefer my chukka with the rubber gum sole, they feel alot better and distribute the impact of step better than updated soles.

Daniel B $200 and under is considered affordable when it comes to boots and dress shoes. These boots will cost you 300-500 anywhere else. The quality A+, comfort A+, aesthetics A+, pricing A+, customer service A++++, shipping is free and takes barely any time its fucking amazing. Where he screws up is how everything cost so much, and your typical teenage boy wouldn't spend $200 on shoes that kind of look girly because they're supposed to be seen it's over masculine, so they're probably going to buy Jordans which is well worth $200 because Jordans never lose their value unlike these shoes that you can probably get an exact copy at Walmart for $20, it's not like anyone knows high-class Brands other than Oxford😂 anything over $100 shouldn't be considered affordable

The Thursday Boot scout chukkas do not actually have a Goodyear welt. It looks more like a blake stitch. The dukes and the other more expensive boot options however, are Goodyear. Just thought I'd let you know.

Saw Thursday and Clark comparison. The lack of support on the Clarks (with the rubber heels) make them less comfortable after a couple of hours compared to the Thursdays or similar boots with proper support. But so, far, I'm quite impressed with the Thursday boots. Cheers!

I bought leather chukka boots last fall. They were 6.700 RSD (that is a bit below 70 bucks) and they have all those quality signs. I wore them all fall, winter and spring and they are still awesome. The company that makes them is Kompako, a small shoe producer in Serbia. This just means that high quality doesn't mean high price
