Thanks! It’s a beautiful part of the world and we had a great time riding there trail.

I remember trains running on this line in its final years, even saw the last steam train when I was barely in school. Later I went to high school at Lowood. That spot where you stopped on a curve to get some shots of the river around 17:44 is where we used to go when wagging school; the trains were gone by then, so we'd walk along the overgrown tracks to there and spend the day in the shade of all the trees that had grown around the track. Now all cut down to make way for the trail. If all goes well, I should be cycling just the northern end of the rail trail next week (Harlan to Yarraman) as part of a longer tour.

Hi Michael, very good, are they your son's?. It was good to see the trail in sun!. We rode from Gympie and then joined KKRT at Kilkivan and then did the Link Trail from Nanango to Yarraman. After Linville we were meant to stay Esk and then Wulkaraka. Unfortunately a big rain event and a lot of track impassable 😟We also discovered no trains on weekend from Wulkaraka. We decided to ride from Linville down De'aguillar Hwy to Cabooture, what a nightmare! Never encountered so many D# head drivers. Anyway hope to go back and finish, maybe next year when the first section of Casino RT is complete.

Yes, they’re my sons. I’m thinking of doing the KKRT some time in the future as well.

Great video guys. Just shows what a family can do together. Tell me, would you do it again or is once enough?

We do many trips together. It’s great fun. Not enough end up on video though. If I cycled the BVRT again, I’d install a more comfortable saddle (for the distance)!

WOW! Travelling so light and it took you four days? We did it fully-loaded with camping gear and extras, and we took two & a half days from Blackbutt to Wulkuraka.

Lots of stops to film, lots of laughs and lots of pies and coffee takes time!

Looks like a great trail to ride. Well done 👍 What type of camera did you use?
@mike-coles2 жыл бұрын
The main camera on-bike is a GoPro Hero 8, hand held. Most off-bike shots are iPhone.
