Thank you. Yes the remoteness was the best part of it. To be just by ourselves 😊

Oh, you two did classical Norwegian cabin vacation. I was expecting a French ski vid from Lyngen Alps. We love doing this type of cabin vacation, just chilling in a remote place, with fjord and mountain view it's special, make fire from wood and cook ourselves.

This type of vacation is amazing! being secluded, surrounded by nature in this type of cabin , is soooo nice 😊. Plus, the fireplace with the snow outside made it so cosy.

I literally live like half an hour away from where you guys stayed, think I used to drive past that cabin on my work route too.

Extremely dangerous mountains late winter. This weekend (late March/April) Arctic Norway has shut down due danger of avalanches. Four tourists died, one survived. Three Norwegian ministers travelled to Lyngen. Late winter snow falling is wet and heavy. We call it "thaw snow". Arctic Norway is heading for spring, the melting process starts. That's what makes the conditions in the mountins extremely dangerous. The authorities are warning people against entering open terrain with more than a 30* incline.

Thanks for the comment and the information. It is true that while doing any winter sport in wild area you must be careful and be aware of the risk.

Hi there, thank you for the information. I’m going to spend a week in the Lyngen Alps at the end of the month. Do you think hiking towards the summits should be possible?
@exentr Жыл бұрын
@@luciengrillet Ofcourse! Late winter is the a beautiful time of the year. All white, blue sky and the sun is shining. We're on the verge of the light side of the year. All this attracts tourists. But it is dangerous in the Norwegian Alps. Ofcourse avalanches may happen any time during winter and the dark side of the year. However, talk with the locals in Lyngen. Ask where to go and whether you should go. Ask where the locals go. Learn from the locals and talk with different locals. Not only one source. Try to get in touch with local tourist info, local Red Cross representatives. It's the Red Cross that go searching for missing people.

@@luciengrillet "Ofcourse!" is a way to welcome a greeting. "Thank you!" in this case. It is not an answare to the question whether it is possible hiking to the Lyngen Alps summit in the end of the month.
