method 1. can not disable Windows Update service, can only Stop & set to Manual; method 2. added REG_DWORD -- NoAutoUpdate = 1; method 3. in gpedit there is no Configure Automatic Updates; method 4. no Pause updates any more on my machine! I hope the first method 2 will work for some time WinVer: Version 23H2

The condition is don't turn of your PC, or it will update again. If you update Edge, yes it also update Windows.

only the browser itself is updated, not the entire Windows 10 system.

You can't do the 4th one if you have already disabled the service. We will see, but I think these will be reversed and WU will be running again soon.

I believe you don't need to do the 4th one if you disabled it already. In fact, you probably only need one of the 4. Not all of them😅

@@megalexantros That makes sense. But I still wonder which will work for the long term. MS has made it hard to disable and there seem to be demons (daemons?). An update could well reverse them, too. But, we will see.

I assumed the user would watch the entire video before applying the easiest method. I was not aware that they might implement the second or third method without viewing the fourth one

I have a solution for you. Don´t install Windows. That´s it and really effective.
