1 package of beef patties
1 bag of frozen pepper stir fry
2 cups of beef broth
1 cup of white rice
1 cup of pasta sauce of choice
1 can of diced tomatoes
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Serves 4
Brown and crumble beef patties, rinse and drain then fry together with thawed and drained pepper stir fry. Add 1 cup of white rice and toast for 3 to 5 minutes.
Add 1 cups of beef broth, drained diced tomatoes, and 1 cup of pasta sauce. Stir and bring to a boil, reduce heat to low cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Turn off heat and allow to rest undisturbed for 15 to 20 additional minutes. Top with cheese and cover until cheese has melted.
Ramen stir fry with potstickers
2 bags of pork potstickers
5 pack of ramen (any flavor) I used 3 blocks
Stir fry vegetable mix
Stir fry seasoning (or mix equal parts soy sauce and brown sugar)
Serves 4
Fry potstickers per package instructions. Add 1 cup of water to skillet for each pack of ramen being cooked. Boil ramen until tender breaking apart noodles as you go. Taco pasta
2 cans of chili
1 can of enchilada sauce
1 can diced tomatoes and green chilis
Pasta of choice
Packet of taco seasoning
2 cups of water or 2 cups or leftover broth
Cheddar cheese
Add all ingredients into skillet besides pasta and cheese. Bring to a boil then add 3 1/2 cups of pasta. Return to a boil then cover and simmer until pasta is cooked (approximately 15 minutes) stop and stir every 3 to 5 minutes so nothing sticks to the bottom. Stir in cheese and serve.
Breakfast skillet
2 cans of diced potatoes
Sausage
Bacon
1 dozen eggs
Cheddar cheese
Seasonings of choice
Chop bacon into small pieces, fry bacon and sausage together until crisp. Drain potatoes and fry in drippings seasoning to taste. Fry until crispy.

I'd use the extra water from cooking the ramen noodles to make the stir fry sauce. The extra starch might help it be a little saucier. Also, soft-boiled eggs would be a good protein replacement if someone can't get or doesn't want the potstickers.

A potato trick you might like - when you want potatoes the next day, after dinner, rinse out the pot and fill it with water and put it back on the hot burner and toss in some whole potatoes to cook while you eat. After dinner, run cold water over them and stuff them in the fridge for tomorrow. Precooked potatoes and well soaked pot! The skins will slide right off of boiled taters. :)

I enjoy and appreciate your recipes. I'm early 50's, lived with my widowed mom (77) and our cousin (64). Mom did all the cooking; she passed three years ago. Our cousin stayed living with me, but doesn't cook, so I assumed that duty. In learning to budget economize, I've found that many grocery stores have markdown sections of baked goods, canned/dry goods, even dairy, meats & seafood. In my experience, discount selections are best in the morning, before lunchtime (and definitely before evening shoppers get all of whats left). Hope this helps someone too. Thanks. ❤️🙏

This is definitely my kind of meal making, I love it. One thing I like to do whenv using canned sauces is to pour the broth or water into the can of sauce after putting it in the skillet, swirl it around to pick up the last of the sauce and then pour the rest into the skillet. That way you can make sure and use every last bit in the can. I love this video ❤

I have got to try these skillet meals. They all look so good, and easy, plus I'm running over to the Dollar Tree on Monday. I don't know if you do this, but whenever I have something that's a little or a lot loose or runny, I like to throw in a couple tablespoons of minute rice. It absorbs the extra liquid without over cooking the noodles or whatever, since it cooks in like two minutes. It's a great way to thicken up and extend a meal without really changing its flavor. Keep up the great work.

My idea of a quick and cheap dinner is a box of pasta roni or rice a roni with some veggies (frozen, canned, fresh) I have on hand. If I’m feeling rather fancy I add a can of shredded chicken lol😂 Wonderful meals! I’m a working student who is fortunate to be living with her parents, but when I’m on my own and need cheap dinner for a few nights, these recipes will be life savers

Just FYI, you could have cooked the Ramen noodles in your beef broth for more flavor. 😋. The breakfast potatoes look really good! My mom always wants me to try the canned potatoes 🥔 😊

Breakfast skillet looks fantastic but I would do scrambled eggs poured over the bacon, sausage, potato mix. That's the way to do it!

You could take oyster crackers and toss them in oil of choice and add the ramen seasoning packet over the top and then bake them in the oven at 250 for about 15 minutes and then toss them and voilà you’ve got seasoned crackers

I enjoy your channel and the recipes. Your comment about the large pan got me chuckling. A large fry pan is like a ladies' handbag - the bigger you buy, the more you want to put in it. Both end up being too small for what you plan for.😅😂

You're lucky in the US to have freezer foods in your dollar tree stores! First where I'm from Quebec Canada we don't even have Dollar tree stores :( I do go to the province next to us : Ontario at their store but they only have caned and dry foods (cookies mostly)on the shelves. But I do enjoy watching you and adapting recipes as best I can. Thanks have a great summer 😊

I live in the US now but spent 2 years in Ontario. The Dollar trees there are mostly just a less expensive place to buy candy and snacks. However, that being said, the other offering that Canada has is Dollarama. I used to shop there as it was very similar to DT. Hope this helps some of the Canadian viewers. Also No Frills while not quite as inexpensive as DT, does reduce the costs quite well.

What about boiling the pasta in the broth and the drained Rotel? Then add in the chili and the season and cook let all of the seasoning come together? I think there may have been too much liquid but it does look delicious. I believe both cans of chili are great to make it a hardy meal.

Yeah either way would definitely work, I love boiling pasta in broth for extra flavor when I can, I think I could have added an extra 1-2 cups of pasta to make it less liquidy

You should brown the noodles like u do the rice before u add the water. It changes them. Also forget that sauce and use one season pkg and some soy sauce and toasted sesame sead oil and one teaspoon of sugar
