I didn't really mention that the anxiety in new relationships is just way too overwhelming for me and Its not a feeling I like to have for a long period of time. I've heard that they contact all of the people involved before hand to go through image consent documents and all that, and it makes sense. The catfish isn't "baited" how the Chris Hansen show was for example. I have worked with show production in the past and there is no way you would be put on a tv show without going through a contact... If they did that, Catfish the TV show would have a big big legal problem. I think being embarrassed is the least they should be feeling. I know its all just for entertainment, but the more I see of this show, the more Im slightly sickened by how little comeback these people ever seem to get...usually they give the impression they'll just move onto their next victim. There's no accountability for what theyve done, no appreciation of what theyve actually done to someone's confidence, to their future relationships, to trust their own judgement. It's a really poisonous thing to do...it would help if a lot of people actually left their houses and went out into the world now & again, stop kidding themselves they're in a 'relationship' with someone theyve never laid eyes on.

@@itsme-s. i dont think it helps when people normailse online connections as real relationships..they hosts do it all the time, say things like 'theyve been dating for a year'...no, they havent been dating at all. they have had online conversations..completely different thing. especially when we're young, we can fall deeply into a relationship, its all hearts n flowers, followed by despair...thast how we learn to navigate our more serious relationships as we get older..but so many of these, usually young, people have such a totally distorted sense of reality, its so unhealthy, they'll find it very hard to be in real relationships if all theyve known is imaginary ones..which is what these are, theyre imaginary.
