Great video. I underestimated how much work it is to not only meet people, but to get to know people, and how much it hurts to constantly leave people you like. Biologically, humans are not made for constant goodbyes. Humans evolved to be tribal and to maintain connections, though the amount of connection each person needs does vary individually. It sucks leaving people I genuinely like. Video and phone calls, and texts are awesome but they’re not the same as hanging out or doing stuff together. This time around, I’m going to caravan with friends more and stay in one place a lot longer. The world can wait; my mental and emotional health can not.

You r so right! It’s not always romantic. You learn how to adapt quick.

Definitely struggled at first! Moving too fast, and spending sooo much money on gas/food! It’s an adjustment period but can be so worth it IF it speaks to you. Like you said it’s definitely not for everyone, but I absolutely love it.

I definitely appreciate how you lay it all out. The freedom does sound amazing without rent but the other side is scary and I don't think I could keep up with it mentally. Having a bathroom is crucial for me. Your videos really prepare people with the truth... I like that 😊

Very good advice. I like hearing of your experiences, but I know it's not for me. I admire your ability to actually do this lifestyle. You can never really get rid of responsibilities in life. You're trading one set for another.

You are speaking the truth as I am experiencing it. Locks freezing, diesel gelling,bus heat not working and needing to use window washer fluid inside to remove the frost on the windshield, water heater cracking from freezing, grey water tank frozen, finding places to empty my cassette toilet, filling my diesel heater tank 3 times a day and diesel smell on my hands all the time, keeping an eye out for garbage cans. So many chores and little worries all the time. Try making your bed while you're on it. Lol That's a workout.

Even real survival shows like Alone is just a month or two or 3 at most. And those people have survival/primative skills. The only reason why my family and I go on camping trips, weekend trips etc is that its doable when its a short time frame. We dry camp so no electricity cept small pocket sized power banks (not the big name solar ones) to charge our phones. But there is a give and take though. You pay electricity in a physical house so all you need is to flip a switch to get water or lighting. Or you save by living in a vehicle and takes longer to go find/haul water, etc. I'm sure vehicle living can get easier over time when you know where to get water, you alot the extra time it takes to go to a gym to shower, etc.

My water bill alone whether or not I shower which doesn't happen very often I still pay $150 a month that I know of and then I have a condo with dues and I don't know what the water is for that. And then the electrical like the only reason that I even do this is because I don't have anywhere to put my stuff. My mom died and suddenly I just have stuff that I'm not ready to hurt with so suddenly I'm paying for huge water bills and electric bills. I have a three pets two of them were gifted to me by an adult child. I wear old and used clothes and don't change them very often. There's absolutely no reason for my life to cost this much. When people in your life die and you can't figure out what to do you just start paying to store their stuff. I literally have no life anyway so but like the idea of not paying for water sounds wonderful because I don't use it anyway so like I probably shower once every two or three weeks and I wear the same clothes everyday but my stuff is clean like my house is clean I'm not living in filth or anything but I also don't do the kind of work that gets me dirty and tell summer and then yeah I mean I still don't shower everyday in the summer either but I would love to just leave my life and go live in an RV or something because I don't want use anything. Anyway I mean I don't shower or care for myself or need clothes I don't shop I don't need anything. It's astonishing how much it costs to just have a house and a lake cabin. And I don't need either one of them and don't really care where I live but it's sentimental. Hugely sentimental
@denisekenney643616 күн бұрын
Rent the condo out and live at the cabin on the lake. But before you do this, go to a therapist you sound so depressed and why are you paying to store others things? It almost sounds like you’re a depressed hoarder…

Living in a van sounds disgusting and gross. Who wants to poop in a bucket, pee in a cup, one shower a month. Its just like living homeless. You would really have to be desperate to do that. Spending thousands of dollars on ⛽️ gas, vehicle breakdowns.
