Not endangered in any way. Indeed they are only locally endangered in countries that banned trophy hunting such as Kenya. In countries that have well run hunting their numbers are to high for their environment, countries like Botswana are struggling to reduce numbers.

I’m with you on this mate, and if you can’t put an animal down in either the first or second shot, doesn’t matter how big, you shouldn’t be hunting. I’ve hunted buffalo here in Australia, and I can say that I’ve never had to shoot a third shot, let alone 6. And it is all about the money, 5 million dollars a year from hunting, yet tourism is over 200 million dollars. Added to that is if you keep taking the biggest, and the best animals, you will lessen the genetic pool. That’s why lions are actually getting smaller because trophy hunters will always want the biggest, and the best.

They are way overpopulated and they sell tags to cover the cost of game managment .. it’s not all about killing animals it’s also managment older bulls fight and dominate over the younger males… without hunting to cover the cost of managment if so large a area

If you go and read the numbers that conservation efforts have made not to mention saving the eco system from having to many which is just as big of a problem. you may not appreciate hunting dangerous game or other wise it serves a significant role to the wildlife and the lands . Not to mention hunters do more and pay the most to protect the the wild life not to mention most of the meat gose to locals the use every bit they can so no waste
