I ordered the hammer head and thumb stud. I carry the Skeletool all the time now as it has the most used functions and is light to carry. I just felt like the bottle opener end was incomplete /unfinished. I carry both this and the Knipex Cobra Xs pliers in my pouch and they solve most problems 👍

A polymer hammer? How durable and hard hitting could that be? I just wouldn't trust that at all, especially in a part of the frame not built to be a hammer. I'd rather grab a rock or something.

I have this hammer attachment. The material is tough af, and fits such that it distributes the load evenly across the end of the frame, in exactly the same way Leatherman's own hammer ends do on other tools with similar frames. Sure, you wouldn't hammer a 3 inch nail in with it, but it's perfect for the kind of light to medium "tamping" common sense would dictate you use it for.

There are metal hammer attachments out there too. Shapeways makes some, in addition to other unique attachments for it. Have their hammer on mine, and its very sturdy for what it is. Useful, and could also be used defensively if need be.

Thank you. The hammer is made from a very hard TPU. It does not get damaged or distorted by impact, and is abrasion and chemical resistant. The clip and belt loop have a lock mechanism. It slides in smoothly, but at the end it takes a little push to snap it into place. The same bit of force is required to unsnap it before you can slide it off.

A screw would be miles better than a pin. I'm also a bit worried about the retention of the bit extender in that clip.

I have an aftermarket hammer mode that employs screws vs. a pin.

I don't agree actually. The way I've designed it, the pin has to be pressed into place, and there is enough tension on it that it cannot fall out. The pin/ or screw is not associated with the hammering impact, which relies on the frame. I've sold hundreds of these with nothing but positive feedback and zero issues from my customers. I would also be worried about the retention of the bit extender in this particular holster. This holster is designed for the ratchet extender. It will hold the standard extender, but not as securely as the one I've designed specifically for it. Perhaps he will show the difference between them in another video.

@@edwardfletcher7790 can confirm, the pin isn't "structural" in any way, it's a really tight friction fit, no way it's going to just drop out, and is really only there to stop the attachment pulling free. It's not "structural" in any sense, and takes none of the impact (which gets distributed along the top of the frame).

Good Lord that’s cool! That just activated my OTD*!! 😆 (*OTD = Obsessive Transformer Disorder) Question: is the magnet strong? The bit driver appeared to slip out pretty easy, like it wasn’t very strong. That doesn’t mean it is, could’ve just been the video.

It is held in by the clip as well. It doesn't seem mega strong but it works good. Depending on how you insert the driver the slot holds it pretty tight. This gear is really cool!

This holster is designed for the ratchet driver. The standard driver is not as secure in it, but I make one specifically for the standard driver.

So there is a cutout where the Leatherman loge shows thru from the actual Leatherman bit kit. It's a really neat holster!

Really neat accessories. Does he provide the 3d files for the belt adapter that way you can print out one to match your belt size? I tend to wear thinner but wider hard nylon belts.

@@AtomicBleach thanks. Right now, the only holsters I make are for the Leatherman bit kit. I tend to make designs that I want for myself, and I personally prefer to carry my multitools clipped directly to my belt or pocket, without a sheath or holster.
