I only married once to the same man, yet im still learning how truly damaged he is. Sometimes he remembers things from his past that is not pleasant and I thought I've asked him long time ago if he was over his pasts? Yet he is not!

Did you all see the last season of the bachelorette. she was very damaged from her father, leaving her and she gravitated towards men that was equally as damage and so at the end of her show, she ended up with nobody, and I think this is what Janice is saying, tear down those walls and recognize those walls and other people, and then you have a good prosperous relationship

A woman or a man should not put a second relationship/marriage ahead of the children from the first marriage. So, caution should be taken when giving advice in this regard.❤
@yelodoggie2 ай бұрын
I agree. To NOT put the child first (underage children) is to just cause those kids trauma that they will take into their adulthood. It's an unending circle. Any step parent or girlfriend/boyfriend of a person with kids should be emotionally adult enough to understand that.
@marciahershkowitz48232 ай бұрын
I disagree. Children need to understand that mommy and daddy have other roles and relationships besides parenting. There’s plenty of love for kids and for peers and for interests.

Love this ... Not me... I love it when men are romantic and share it!! I tend to be very transparent and vulnerable ... I see you and your pain from your break up. This recently happened to me. It's not fun at this age. I'm also interested in vetting questions... do you have more on this?

While instant spark is great, I've heard many times that the spark happened later after getting to know them. Relax, if you like the person, get to know them and let it develop naturally. IMO

I really liked Marie. I really don’t think one can be in a relationship until the traumas are healed because we just don’t see things accurately. We misinterpret things. Then we argue. And we don’t develop the skills we need.

Trauma and failure is how we grow, it has made him who he is now, and you really like him! We all have baggage, hopefully it is now a 'carry on' luggage size. Ask yourself if you can manage to carry his bags from time to time, or is it too heavy? Maintain your independence, take it slow, trust your gut feelings and listen to your owns needs and wants, be honest. Be brave and and act like a Bison; walk towards the storm instead of running away.

You may shock. I thought I would put up the highest walls ever. After a mayor break down. Mayor. Hospital and all. One year ago. After nearly four years of a most dedicated relationship. But I have found that I am not capable of putting any walls up.
@debbiemoeller21692 ай бұрын
I think trying to fill a void by going from one person to another isnt healthy, of course. Some do put up walls to protect themselves from getting hurt again. Thank you Jonathon for opening up to thousands of us who have been through what you have. Thats so sad about feeling in second place. 😔🫂🙏❤️
