What makes this video great is Derrick Jackson's support of all the musicians playing. A well-respected musician able to credit and endorse others in their gift is a wonderful sight to see!

I so upset that so many churches are going to keyboards and either don’t have a Hammond or don’t play it. There is no other sound but a Hammond that can usher in the spirit and flow the spirit
@jboyz93525 жыл бұрын
Very true..I take organ over keyboards
@girlmusician244 жыл бұрын
True but not every church can afford a B3 They are $20k + new and the up keep is just as costly.
@jhilladay4 жыл бұрын
It takes a lot more to play a Hammond vs a keyboard as well. You have to be very skilled to play both but the Organ is definitely a lot harder.
@colbalt953 жыл бұрын
@@jhilladay Organ is harder then it gets easier. Playing piano is easier then it gets harder. Piano is just an overall more versatile instrument.
@dookoonu27413 жыл бұрын
@@colbalt95 Not sure about which is more versatile... it is a matter of opinion and depends on who is playing. I strongly feel that for worship service... the sound of organ seems to be more suited.

Grew up with Jimmie "Bo" Lee in Mississippi. He's one anointed and humble young man. Moved to Memphis for 6 years after undergraduate school to be under the leadership of a musical and anointed family the Jackson's, Barbara, Sharon, and Maestro Derrick Jackson where there Father was Pastor. Mr Derrick is the same way everytime you see him, humble and will help anybody!

Rob Carter Anybody can flip the lever on a leslie speaker. It doesn't take a lot of skill, but why so often? It's like a roller coaster for some.
@LegendaryMike10 жыл бұрын
Rakan bin Mohamed its a characteristic of playing the organ. Its adds an effect to chords that make it sound much better.. That's almost like asking a guitarist why does he add vibrato to his notes or add the wammy effect with their chords or notes
@rakanbinmohamed40310 жыл бұрын
mike john thank you, I understand that but I guess it's a matter of personal preference. I like hearing the organ without vibrato for long periods and then if the vibrato is added, it's a nice change. But I find so many organists switch it off and on every 10 seconds and I guess I find it boring when it's so predictable.
