His opinion must be centered in Corey Henry and Trav, but of course there are Mike bereal, Jason Tyson, Q Gaskins, Jamal (TDJakes' MusicMinister), Lawrence Lyles, and a host of Art Tatum/OscarPete students who may or may not be known in church circles...guys who can bang with anybody and don't sound like anyone else, but are trend setting as far as styles and sound are concerned.

If the truth were known, that's the way ALL (or almost all) preachers think. THEY need your' money. And, that's exactly WHO gets your' money, too. A *lot* of it goes towards the preacher's luxurious, RICH lifestyle that he HAS to maintain (the cars, the houses, the expensive clothes, etc., etc., etc., ). And, another thing is he says that he "wants to give EVERYONE a 'chance to give', ONLY because he wants US to be blessed." And, the thing is, WHO'S getting blessed?!!? The preacher is the only one I see getting blessed. And, I guess it is a blessing if you think that you are helping out (and giving to a GOOD cause). But, is this REALLY a "good cause"?!!? That's what I would want to know. And, listening to WHAT he said, "Give to ME" makes ya think that it is NOT a good cause at all. He just accidentally slipped up and said that. I'm sure he meant to say, "Okay, folks, make sure everyone gives to the Lord and His' work." BUT, he accidentally told the truth. "Give to me!!!" It's sad that sooooo many preachers (not all, but there sure are a lot of them) are ONLY (or pretty much only) interested in money. Even the bible says that this would happen, though. It says that in the last days, preachers would be "greedy for filthy lucre." And, "lucre" is used here for the word, "money." They don't really care about the people (just the money). You can tell a preacher like this by the lifestyle that he lives. If he has a TON of material goods (expensive car, house, clothes, watches, etc., etc., etc., ), then you know what HIS' *true* motive for "preaching the gospel" is. And, if money is NOT all that important to him, you had better hold ON to that preacher (because they are RARE nowadays). I understand a man of God making a living somewhat off of preaching. But, that does NOT mean that they should be rich. I have a major problem with preachers preaching and always asking for more and more money (being greedy and just wanting to live the life of complete luxury). My former Pastor had COLLECTIONS of Gucci and Rolex watches. Had the BEST of everything. And, WE were told not to EVER question him (or how much money he made). They always told us that OUR job was to just give and then to leave it in God's hands. That's just another way to say, "Shut up and don't ever ask questions. Let the Pastor become rich. It is NONE of your' business." Well, newsflash. It *is* OUR business because HE is getting rich off of US. I am NOT willing to pay tithes OR offerings to a man who is just greedy and trying constantly to get more and more money from me (only to squander it on materialistic goods). I could use that SAME money on myself and the things that I need in MY life (or by helping OTHERS - those who really COULD use help). Just my opinion. But, yeah, makes sense, doesn't it?!!? And, the thing is, I'm pretty sure that GOD *would* agree with me (and what I said). In fact, I don't "think" that He would. I know that He would.

ELIPOUL You let God worry about that. People are supposed to give #1 because it's obedience to God's word...and #2 because it's out of the kindness of their heart. I guarantee black preacher's wouldn't ask for money if they believed God for it. People would just want to give. You should NEVER have to ask. Do I believe preacher's should teach about giving? Absolutely! Giving actually blesses us even more, but no one should feel obligated.
@richardjackson5670

ELIPOUL Way too many churches, mainly black churches make people feel guilty about not giving instead of teaching them how to give with their hearts. Its sad really. White preachers have learned to trust God and their buildings is paid in full.
