@Bailey Same with the last story as well. “Stephanie”, or whatever her name is, had a legit demon fighting her, trying to toy with her, and trying to terrify her. To break her down. To tear her life apart. Because that’s what they do. They try to terrify and break the weakest link down so they can tear apart the rest of the people in the house. The narrator should at least tried to be closer to the person.

Caves are really otherworldly....what I find fascinating and frightening at the same time is, that you are completely blind after a couple of meters inside without an external light source...if you are outside in the forest at midnight there is still a little bit of light so that you can see something...caves: pitch black. If you turn of your light deep in a Cave you really understand the difference between „night“ and „darkness“....and this darkness prevails for sure 😁

Fear of heights and claustrophobic. I’m not necessarily afraid of insects and spiders, but I’m scared of that creepy crawly feeling of insects crawling on my skin. Grew up in a house with the small cockroach’s. I freak out if I feel anything crawling on my skin and kill it instantly if I feel that feeling, funny thing is it’s not always bugs, it can be hairs, the wind, or any other small things grazing my skin and I’ll freak out and smack that area of my body to kill whatever my head thinks it is.

Delaney I agree. That’s what true friends do, right? Support one another. Stay in touch. That’s what I’ve tried to do with a friend who I knew who had a similar crazy person run-in like I did, both of us when we were younger, and we’ve both had unfortunate run-ins with a demon and a ghost.

@@delaney9383 Her run-in’s were much worse than mine considering she lived in the same house for 6 years with an abusive monster, her own father, and then finally her mother got up the courage to leave him, but this time the run-ins weren’t with an abusive father but an even more terrifying demon, then they moved again and started new in a different state, NY, but by that time my friend was very quite and normally stuck to herself, unless called on in class. I knew how smart she was and honestly, was just following my lust because she was/is very pretty and I was quickly taken by her for her personality and looks, then I realized I’d have no chance with her because before I could work up the courage to ask her out, she told me she was gay and about how her father and what he did to her and her mother wasn’t what made her gay but that she was just born like that. She told me about where he was and why her and her mother left, why the old house they lived in always made her feel like she was being watched and felt like there was an evil presence in there with her at all times, by something otherworldly. Don’t worry, Now she’s better off than she’s ever been. Ironically, and although we don’t think of it as a competition, she got her first girlfriend before I got mine.

I have to wonder if our house sits over a cave system. I know we live on karst topography. The reason I wonder is that occasionally we get a big nasty looking but totally harmless insect in the house called a cave cricket and generally speaking they only ever show up in the bathroom and then most often in the bathtub/shower. I haven't seen any in a couple years now and have figured out they mostly show up there during dry spells or droughts. How they get in is a mystery to me. Getting them out though is quite simple, WHACK, n pick up with a paper towel.

Is anyone looking forward to Super Massive Games' House of Ashes? It takes place in a subterranean temple/city complex in the midst of the last months of the Iraq War. Unlike the last two games in the Dark Pictures anthology series, there are monsters in addition to those qualities of human greed and selfish preservation instinct at play. The Descent played a major part in designing the cave creatures you will encounter underground.
