@@izzujoemarvillanuevam.d.8846 No it doesn't. In Japanese the "Subject" is omitted unless it is needed for clarity. So If I am talking to a friend about dogs and I say, "犬が好きです.(Inu ga suki desu)" I am saying "I like dogs." But if I was telling my friend about someone else liking something and they are not there I would have to add the subject to clarify such as, "Danaは犬が好きです.(Dana likes dogs)"

I just found you and you are awesome. Most sites or books I try to learn from don't go into so much detail. I really like how you break stuff down so it is easier to understand. Like how you broke down "Konnichiwa". I was always curious about that, and now I know. :) I took an etymology class in high school, which is learning how to break down the word while learning its roots, prefixes, and suffixes. I think that's why I like your method of teaching so well. It gives me a better understanding. :) So thank you, and please continue to enlighten the world.

I hope as you produce future videos, please remember to stick with the style and technique you are successfully creating now. I agree with so many of the previous commenters in that your lessons are uncommonly refreshing and interesting. You have a very nice way of presenting your lessons and you seamlessly add useful "asides" along with the main information. Very well done.

Well actually, living there would be by far the best way to learn. Try something like teaching English in Japan. You don't need to speak any Japanese but you do (almost always) need a degree. I don't think the subject matters, though I guess English or something related would be best. You can learn Japanese there while also having a job that actually wants you to speak English, so you get the best of both worlds.
@Exory666

Luke Carroll Thanks for your advice. There is only one problem: my age. I am only 16 years old so I don't really get a chance to go there yet. I can at least try a german-japanese related job here after finishing school, but it takes at least 5 more years until I can travel to japan. :/
@matroska_5625
@matroska_5625 8 жыл бұрын
Well that's okay. Just get a degree and you'll be in a position to teach in Japan. If you don't want to do it in the end, you'll still have a degree for any other job. A win win situation.

Good to see so many helpful and kind comments. Spykeluc you could also study abroad as a student in whatever subject you may choose. That way you'd be earning your degree AND learning the language while in the country. Just an idea. All kept showing examples of words and sentences with the na- shown and hidden. But not a single damn one explained why they were hidden/shown. The fact that you need a noun to show the na. My God. I think this channel is so far the best to learn Japanese. In my opinion it is better than japanese101 channel. Try to learn Japanese in order to play Japan import games. I asked my friend who speak Japanese some sentence in game. Sometimes he said if I say this to people they will think that I am crazy. For example: "ほしく は ない の か? " from dragon quest game. So are words in games even less informal and casual?

本当に、ミサ先生のチャンネルが大好きです . Thanks for a truly consistent, instructive and engaging course. I happen to teach English and am learning Japanese for various reasons. Firstly, I love the country, the culture and the language. I've had a chance to go to Japan for one summer, to Fukui, where I have met great people. Secondly, I'm thinking of, one day, taking up teaching English in Japan. Thirdly, I am learning the language - which is not easy for an European - to better understand my students' situation: especially the beginners' point of view. While I watch your lessons ...textbooks' knowledge, real life situations and some random bits of knowledge come to mind and seem to be forming a clearer picture at last. Your work is inspiring and most helpful -) どうもありがとう、ミサ先生
