Mater Dei has been tough after Riley dogged Raleek Brown. Playing him as a freshman and then benching him after he showed signs of brilliance didn’t sit well with the kids who know him. I know there were reasons for him not playing but I’m saying this is a reason MD kids are tentative now.

I believe Reggie is not the only Heisman winner, candidate, and or CFB player, who has ever received an improper benefit. Not to try and justify what might have happened with Reggie and his father, but it seems like the NCAA has selective punishment towards certain football programs. That's just my opinion. Reggie's accomplishments on the field should be recognized, including reinstating his college football records and his restoration of the Heisman Trophy.

Moving forward the players will want to come to SC because of our coaching and the direction of the program and it won’t matter how we decorate their hotel room. The fact that passing out candy and decorating their room was the secret weapon tells you all you need to know about the way the program was failing in the past.

All programs were doing that and I actually think it speaks more to the times changes for recruiting. Years ago kids just wanted to play for a good program and that was it .now nil and decorating rooms is how they operate

@@USCJ yeah you right, some of that has changed but the successful programs were also winning on the field and providing coaches that the players can believe in. Can’t only rely on passing out swag. What the program has done this off-season with coaches is more important than any of the recruiting rankings. There’s a foundation now that hasn’t been there since Carroll left.

Good morning USC J. With the defensive staff assembled at USC, high school coaches and recruits should see how serious Lincoln Riley is about that half of the ball. IMHO, Nasir Wyatt’s choices will be between USC and tOSU. God willing, he chooses USC. As for the NCAA, they are so irrelevant these days. That new ban about decorating rooms is ridiculous! What’s so wrong about showing school pride?!?! What’s next? Banning recruits from wearing football uniforms to see how they look? IMHO, the NCAA should be banned. Fight On! ✌🏽
