I remember the absolute fortitude he displayed the night on a partial kill he weathered ten or so hyenas throwing everything they could at him as he just ignored them and even the guide stated that was something special , So that’s the one the Ross had at a year and a half hurt his back leg ( looks better ) if so and you could let me know I would truly appreciate it , Kevin

He's like..."naw, there's too many tough-looking males guarding that carcass for me to try to get a bite." Then it's hilarious the way he slinks away, so as to not draw any attention to himself because he knows that if those males saw him there might be a fight, & by the numbers it wouldn't be fair.

Why did the three Mbiri lions accept the Nharu male? Because they are young? Not territorial? We are so used to seeing male lions kills or drive each other off that it seems like a rare thing for three males to accept an outsider into their coalition.
@sakibation0074 жыл бұрын
Young male lions often accepted by unknown pride cuz they aren,t a threat to them & bearable by unknown pride we can see such incident like Makhulu was accepted by the Eyerefield/Sparta pride, Solo was accepted by the Eyrefield/Sparta pride, Big Boy Mhangeni was also accepted by the Nkuhuma pride, Nkuhuma Young male also accepted by the Styx pride & so on lion couldn,t survive by their own speacially the young males so they have always try to join other pride for their survival & the let them join as they are no longer threat to them as well as their cubs.
@sakibation0074 жыл бұрын
& more importantly the Nharu male was accepted by the Mbiri pride while they were young & later Orpen males drove them away from the pride hence their nomadic life starts. Infact unknown males often team up together for better life as they can have numerical superior for defend themselves from the other intruders & could easily protect their pride members The 5 Mpondo males are not realated & then the 4 De Laporte males also.
@tr1x2434 жыл бұрын
3 Mbiris didnt accept Nharu..when Nharu joined Mbiri Pride, young Mbiri males where 1-1.5 yrs old cubs.. 2 years ago, as subadult, Nharu young male joined Mbiri pride, he most likely lost somehow his natal Nharu pride, so he find Mbiris and they accepted him.. PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION , That single lion that came in to this huge buffalo the group is feeding on and hanging with ok , You said he was with the white lions and is this the YBM ( about 4 now?) that a lone original Birmingham male who the Ross brothers ran off and he stubbornly remained a long time and at a year and a half had an attack by them compromise his rear leg but it got much better , He had a white sister and would go in and out among his birth pride often and one Ross tolerated him and the mean one saw the potential threat, That I think was in Nagala and I have not heard much for a year or a tad more , Excited me with you saying it was the Birmingham male , I know the Breakaways are a group of six , This if that one weathered ten or more hyenas on a partial kill out of principle all night and they gave him all they had and he by the skinny suckling tree( branch) never let them get under his skin , Showed great character and the guide agreed , The white sibling had me thinking it’s him so is it ?
