I was also a Recon man much like the first guy in the video. One time while we were out doing a navigation exercise, I heard bushes rustling while we were walking in dense vegetation. Funny thing is, the rustling was like “teleporting” along with us as we patrol. No footsteps or movement could be heard even though there were dried leaves everywhere. Seriously, forests are creepy. Coming from someone who has to scare the living crap out of enemy patrols at night.

I'm a former British soldier and I was on a training exercise in Scotland on a mountain called Ben wyvis. I was on a night patrol moving up the mountain in position for an attack in the morning. However we were followed by 5 or 6 balls of bright lights. So bright that they lit us all up. One was as large as a foot ball some were the size of a golf ball. They followed behind us. We would stop and try to identify them. Then we carried on and they followed us

These were such good stories Laura, i love any military tales from any branch of service men & women & from any era. Personally i love stories from the 1st W War. Even when i was a very small girl id love to hear songs from that time, it was great staying with my maternal grandparents as they had a wind up gramophone With a great trumpet listening enhancer , the records were thick, made fr Bakerlite. I was so lucky because my grandparents house was huge & the grammophone stood on an oak side table in this really wide & long hallway ( it ran the length of 4 bedrooms down each side & was about 8 to 10 ft wide.) So once the phonogramme was wound up i could dance up & down The corridor till i dropped. However, despite that i was always obsessed with 1st WWar Memorabilia, i even dressed in copies of clothes from then. I remember my Grandad who was a young Lieutenant in 1st war & he reluctantly told me of many unexplainable events that took place in the trenches, lines & in surrounding countryside. He was an atheist & so some things he saw were at odds to his beliefs but, he said he had no choice but believe that physical death was not the end of us He told me, very emotionally of how devastated he was when his horse was shot, he loved that horse & held her head as she died ( i know people died & horses etc were just casualties but my grandfather was always surrounded by horses all his life, He trained horses & also after the war, trained race horses & at retirement age took on a stable managers position so his love for them was deep) Anyway he was low & despondant for days/weeks then he wandered off unto woods past the town & as he sat there his emotions numb, he heard his name called but it was as if 3 or 4 voices in unison. He started to look around then he said he felt odd, no noise, no birds even the guns were silent he was surrounded by huge trees Then he said his skin shivered, & felt prickling all over his body & before him were his cousin & 2 of his best pals, they were all dead but here they were now, saying his name & smiling he felt scared but elated Then from behind the men came his horse, neighing & pawing her front hoof which she did when seeing him. He said he dropped to his knees & sobbed his heart out only once looking up & seeing them 1 last time before they faded out After some minutes he stood & was about to leave when he turned back & walked to where they had stood & in the grassy moss he bent to pick up a kind of Badge that had been on his horses bridle & he hadnt retrieved when she'd died. It was an old rosette made from ribbon & metal hed won as a child for his horsemanship, hed kept it on Bella's bridle. After this he was fine & he said he gained strength & knew hed see all his dead comerades & his horse when it was his turn He showed me the rosette, palm sized & faded with red, white & blue heavy ribbon. That was 60 years ago & i still have it. Never seen my grandfather after his passing but... I do smell his strong cigarette smell, Senior Service unfiltered cigarettes, distinctive smell & his way of saying hes still around & caring for me.

@@minnie21434 Ahh thank Maryann, i was tearful when i wrote it, my Grandad wasnt an emotional man Very kind & cared about his family very much but when he told me of that time seeing his departed cousin & friends, recently killed in the war & seeing his beloved horse Bella, He cried, tears streaming down his weather beaten face, his eyes Full of tears, he had to stop a while, to get out his great big enormous tartan handkerchief to mop up his tears, even though a child, i felt so much for him. I never ever saw him weep again. Its odd reading my origional comment ! I still remember his personal smell which was his Bay Rum hair tonic, horses & hay & his strong odour cigarettes, all mixed together, so distinctively him Its so so comforting to me whenever i smell it, its still comes back now & then & I know There is much more beyond our earthy lives, which is but one part of our evolution of our soul Please take care & always have hope in whatever is out there for us all, kindest regards 🇬🇧👧🕊

My cousin is in the Marines. He saw something that bothered him for a while but he wouldn't tell anyone. Finally he was called in and "debriefed " my cousin I guess told then truth. He thought his career was over. But they sent him to a different base. And to this day we get phone calls from unknown numbers and you can tell the calls are being recorded. He can't tell us where or what he's doing. But he's says we wouldn't believe him he told us. The phone was cut off. The last time it was just a general conversation. Saying he's good and he should be home within a year. Even when his dad died he couldn't come. Before he was debriefed he never told any the family. He'd just start shaking and say "you can't handle it. You would go insane if I told you" maybe he was protecting us from the government.

not necessarily. Native Americans often mention Sabe as being of both types, one that is amenable to us and lives in social groups like we do. The other kind of Sabe is as you suggest, quite nasty. Whatever the case here, the whispering and ''calling my name'' is a very creepy phenomena common to many of the Can Am Missing 411 cases recorded by Dave Paulides, in a film of the same name. From Dave's channel, it seems the soldiers were probably near an energy portal and definitely under psychic attack from ''something'' not of this earth.

The old man's ghost in the 3rd story was clearly happy to see a new family in the home that he and his wife had built, and made sure to protect them, which I find really sweet. The 4th story was bittersweet, considering that the man had died before the wedding anniversary; the fact that he had ordered such a beautiful gift for his wife for the said anniversary makes me think that he subconsciously knew that he was going to die.
@mirandagoldstine8548

Yeah. I believe some ghosts choose to stay on this plane to watch over a place they loved in life. So I think the old man was happy to know that the house he and his wife loved would be well cared for. This is an example of a guardian spirit. And there are cases of benevolent spirits helping someone from falling into a dark fate. You can find them in stories about benevolent ghosts. One example is the spirit of the Omni Parker House Hotel, the founder Harvey Parker. Apparently he likes to make sure people are enjoying themselves. Another example is the pink lady of Omni Grove Park Inn. No one knows her name but all stories state she is a kind, gentle spirit who enjoys the company of kids. In fact she tends to make herself more visible to children. I think she had at least a niece or nephew she was close to in life and was generally a good friend to all children and she’s waiting for a family member to make a visit, at the place she and her family loved in life.

In fact Weird New England mentions the gravesite of a herbalist whose spirit is known to play with children at a playground across from her grave. Apparently according to my research she never had any and she was well loved by the community.

Re animal eyes - the important thing about animal eyes is their colour. Hunters know that big cats' eyes reflect green, while animals like cows etc. reflect red. An old hunter taught me that. Unfortunately the colour of the eyes (observed by the naked eye) was not mentioned by the story teller.

a small hint for the story in south Korea - with a nightvision on, its not that easy to estimate distances, as the soldiers were not able to see the creatures but should have been in range.

To the soldier who decided to share the first story thank you very much for doing so. It must be difficult knowing that some will not believe you especially when it comes to your superiors. l don't know maybe those in the armed forces could seek eachother out, those who have had paranormal experiences and write your own experiences and compile a book. l think you would get a lot of interest.

I’ve no doubt soldiers have had many scary paranormal experiences. These were fascinating.. .Smart of the guy in the last story to talk to the spirit and tell him he meant no harm. Often spirits seem to just need reassurance people are decent and aren’t going to change things in the house too much.

What people thought are jinns, spirits, demons and angels were probably just other sentient beings aka ETs aka aliens. They just didn't have the science or words for it back then.

It's not they didn't have the words , some in science just don't want to believe or confirm the existence of another side and I believe that is influenced By the other side.
