I would love to see a video on the mental side of things for you. I’m a 19 year old full time college student whose been dealing with 2 herniated discs for close to two years. My pain has caused harm to many things amongst my life, including relationships. I know for me, the hardest thing is being so young and no one understanding the impact chronic pain can have on a person.

I've had a bulging disc for two years and I've been in so much pain since. I'm on a buprenorphine patch that helps with some of the pain but when it gets really severe, I just want to cry. My doctor hasn't tried steroid injections yet so I might want to give that a try.

Did you find therapy to be that useful in healing? Or do you think you could've just done at-home exercises? It's been 4 days since my first injection and wondering if I should invest in PT or just stretch at home and google exercises. I'm also a young guy like you. I'm 26

@@rogeraguilar3940 ended up getting a second injection. Each injection was an improvement for me. I can walk for longer now, but I still feel uncomfortable walking fast or running. Ended up not doing PT but I'm considering starting since my improvement feels like it's plateauing. However, I remember I started slacking off with stretching and at-home exercises after the second injection because I started feeling better. If I could go back a month or 2, I would continue being diligent with daily walks, and daily stretching/exercises. Still feel pain down to me calf, but it doesn't really reach my foot anymore. Still hurts sometimes when getting out of bed or out of the car, but I do feel like it's a gradual improvement. Very very slow improvement though. I guess that's why it takes 2 years for some people to fully heal

@@erickdiaz6152 keep up the fight I just got 2 injections today Im going to do PT at home with the help of youtube videos I'm also getting an inversion table delivered tomorrow I hear that speeds up recovery , changing lifestyle I'm never picking up anything heavy never ever please don't ask for help I'm not interested lol, get a lumbar support for the vehicle no more slouching no more soft couches or seats sitting will no longer be an option while watching movies or television at home you have to lay down doing those things if you plan on doing it for a long period, life is too short to experience any pains when you get better make sure you're selfish don't help anybody move anything take care of your back like your life depends on it we only have one can't wait to get better I hope you recover 💯% soon your almost there

would you attribute most of your recovery to the steroid injection or PT
@CosmicAndromeda5 жыл бұрын
A majority goes to PT, but without my first injection, I would bet money I would have had to have surgery a few months ago. Things just were not improving at all before that first injection.

I have 2 bulging discs lower back, I’m getting better been nearly 3 months, eat healthy, take vitamins, curcumin, vitamin c, collegan Peptide protein, bone broth, walking and doing McKenzie method exercises and Stuart McGill big 3, KZbin the exercises, go to a good pt who does meckenzie methods. @Serena.1992 жыл бұрын
@@abbasborji8270 you'd better stand up a bit then sit. or go to bathroom u can walk at least a little bit and come back. i know a girl works she stands up and she said go to swimming it helps a lot u can exercise after work to get better,if these it doesn't work find a new job which is not sitting all day, unfortunately my dad got disc pain since he was 27 he lost his job at 47 years old due to the disc nobody understood his feeling. now I'm 23 unfortunately I'm dealing with the same thing..
