Love this. So many people talk about everywhere in Europe but there’s not enough information on South America. Would love to see a video on your favorite places on each continent.

I went to Chile in 2018 and absolutely loved it. I have a Facebook friend who lives in Santiago, our favourite group (Erasure) were performing there so I decided to fly to Santiago and went to the gig with her. She also took me to Valparaiso.

Not many tourists get there because it is a long haul but I’d add Easter Island (Rapa Nui) to the list. 🗿

Easter Island! Is part of Chile even if it takes 4-5 hours to fly there

Wolters, if i was you i wouldn't visit South America. Just in case you bump on of those angry Trump deportees. Just an advice.

I went to Chile recently, to San Pedro de Atacama and Santiago, and it was mine and my friends' least favourite country out of the 4 we visited. Atacama e super expensive and really has nothing going on, so you have to go to the desert where everything is paid, even the natural attractions. Bolivia is right next door and in the Salt Plain tours you'll see the same desert except a lot cooler parts and do much nicer things (for cheap too). Santiago was just a boring city with very poor parts and other rich business parts that want desperately to be considered European. The people weren't as friendly as in other places either, and every place will ask you for a 10% tip even if you're being served like crap in the middle of the desert. Just go to Bolivia instead if you want nature or to Argentina if you want city.

I’ve been to both and had a wonderful time. Been to Santiago twice in fact. The last time was right after the riots s few years ago and still enjoyed it. I’m sure your attitude had nothing to do with the way you were treated. 😂

@reddykilowatt It seems like you're the one with an attitude, replying to someone who just has a different opinion like that. I've been to many countries and just didn't enjoy Chile, doesn't meant that others won't have a great time, I just wouldn't recommend going

@ yes I have an attitude of patience. you should try it sometime.
