Those were pitch perfect blocks, just because most receivers are shit for blockers doesn't make it dirty, all perfectly legal at the time, when the rule changed, he never threw a single one of those exquisite blocks again. If they didn't change the rule, you'd still see them plenty. There's no difference between the way he hit them and the way they hit him, it's not his fault if they weren't alert while planning to hit his team mate as hard as they possibly could; it was his job to block...he did.
