4 PO Tricks You Probably Haven't Used | Procedural Objects | Cities: Skylines Tutorial

Here are four tricks you can use with Procedural Objects to further enhance your game. I'll show you how to mirror assets, customize asset colors, distort/change the shape of an asset, and create custom decals. Hopefully, you'll be able to use these techniques to further detail your cities.

you've opened up a whole world of possibilities with the last tip. I learnt how to create my own textures in photoshop a long time ago. So i'm looking forward to do that again. I just hope my laptop can handle it. I might have to invest in a Desktop PC.... but then it wont be portable lol. I only just started playing Cities Skylines last year. Vanilla first, then some dlc, after i got used to it I opened up the floodgates for mods this year.

Hey, are you still arround? 10 months no new videos😢 Also whats the Decal at 7:19? i tryed that one with all my Decals that i got, and not a single one could be only used on the Sidewalk, that would make stuff so much more easy, because at the moment i customise every single cornor with like 5 PO Decals...

The #1 most annoying thing to me is not being able to create my own custom designed sidewalks because the decals show on the road. Can you share a link to the decal you used that only covers the sidewalk? From there I'll definitely change the texture to fit my theme. Great tip man!

@@thePhoenicianCS Hmm.. perhaps there is a mod setting I don't have enabled/disabled? Isn't working for me. They all fade out as I increase height. I did adjust the curb height up to 15m instead of 7 and that helped a little, but it's still fading like all decals

Ok it appears the issue was Hockenheim's BIG US roads pack. Have a feeling it still has to do with curb height, but believe I fixed it now!

Interesting, I never thought about curb height affecting it since I don't use that mod or any roads with lower curbs but it definitely makes sense. As long as you can get it working one way or another then that's good

How are you snapping the PO decals in place along the pavement?

Hold control and drag along the way you want to copy the decal. It'll automatically snap the same distance each time

May be unrelated but when I try to use procedural object (clicking the procedural objects button) it won't work. It won't turn on. Any solutions?

Do you have any objects converted to PO already? If you have anything converted to PO then it should pop up if clicked on
