Thank you very much kind sir. This only reinforces what I know already but it is good hearing it from someone else. I will try for a 3 rd time to get through the program, and I will get through it on the 3rd try and closely consider all these points.

I had to repeat nursing school, and had to wait to get back in. its been a loooong journey. I almost feel like I should just give up because I've been trying to hang on for so long . but seriously, after hearing this, it inspired me to get rid of negative thinking and just try really hard. I've been trying g not to be late to class and organize my time better and not waste time. I am looking forward to seeing those organizational and time management videos. are they up? thank you!!

Hi, I love watching your videos because you give all the tips that students can really apply in real life. My question is one of the reason why some students struggle in nursing because of the amount of things that needs to be covered is done in a short amount of time? Like me, personally, I hate math, right now, I have a son so basically I'm taking all my prereqs online so, with that I have hard time sometimes when I have question and I have nobody to teach me on spot. So in short what makes nursing school really hard that most students struggle, aside from the things mentioned here ( indecisions, not studying etc) , ACADEMICALLY ( wise), is it because of some classes that needed to know, and its a very huge amount of information to store? I dont know if I'm addressing the question clearly.. Thats why I gave my math as an example. Most of my friends said that in nursing its mostly theory class that needs to memorize, and apply of course in clinical. So personally, what does NURSING program itself makes it hard that most students struggle? Why is it hard 10x? Sorry for the question, Have a Great Thanksgiving :)

+chelzhi Great question! From my point-of-view, what made nursing school so hard wasn't that the material was difficult to understand or process, but it was so hard having so many classes together and keeping up with everything (and having time to spend studying). You are required to go to lecture classes almost everyday, go to clinicals, and work on other projects...all while trying to study for exams...so that is why most people say nursing school is so hard. If I had only one class at a time or even two I would have got to study more and it would have been easier, but most nursing school are not set-up like this unless you go part-time (I went full-time). So, academically the material isn't hard to understand....it is just trying to dedicate time to study and absorb everything. Have you thought about going into the nursing program part-time for a while since you have a son? It may be easier for you and that way you will take less classes at a time. I hope that helps :) I hope you have a great Thanksgiving as well :) -Sarah

Thanks I applied to community college for nursing school I have a question I want to become nurse practitioners so if I got associate degree first n took the board state test do I have to retake it after 2 more years for Bachelors degree ??? N how long does the master degree takes Thank u
@RegisteredNurseRN
@RegisteredNurseRN 8 жыл бұрын
+Fardosa gabow Thanks for your question, Fardosa. No, you do not have to re-take the boards after obtaining an BSN degree if you've already passed it after completing your ADN degree. The master's degree for a nurse practitioner (after you obtain your bachelor's degree) takes about 2-3 years for most people, but it depends on the program. We have a video overview on nurse practitioners here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXu7f36tnKeaY7s Thanks so much, and I wish you the very best in your future career as a nurse!

thank you Ben. I am very glad for your information. it really helped me. worth to watch. Right now I am in my second year of prerequisite courses. I am having trouble with picking an Anatomy professor. Classmates go to ratemyprofessors.com I feel I am ready for Anatomy, but I need confidence. the teacher I want to pick has ratings that she is challenging and very hard. however, some other teacher is easier. what do you think? Please help me.

+Cari Baez I am a first year nursing student, and I took the hardest Anatomy teacher my college had. It was difficult, but I was glad I decided to take her class. You had to know the information like the back of your hand, and it will be useful in your career to know. With THAT being said, her teaching style is not for everyone. If you feel worried, I would go with the higher rated teachers. They're highly rated for a reason :)
@CariBaez
@CariBaez 8 жыл бұрын
Trumpetto31 thank you for your reply. I know either way Anatomy is hard. Anyone who takes this course has to study, study, and study. But in what ways anatomy professors are hard even though anatomy is hard already? .-.
@Trumpetto31
@Trumpetto31 8 жыл бұрын
My teacher was VERY specific, so you had to word it just right or else the entire problem was incorrect. Half of her test was multiple choice whereas the other half involved drawing dna/rna strands, cellular respiration, layers of multiple tissues, etc. However, I'm sure your teachers won't be that difficult. The best advice I can give is to study and like Ben said, stay positive! Saying it out loud also tends to help it stick for me, so don't be afraid to talk to yourself! Good luck with your journey!

+Cari Baez Great question! I had the same dilemma while I was in college, where one teacher would have a great rating and the other would have a terrible rating. I always went with the teacher with the best rating. Ratemyprofessor ratings (however you do have to watch for inflated ratings) are usually right when it comes to that and if a teacher has a bad rating there is usually a reason for it. Every time I found a teacher had a bad rating it was true. So I would choose wisely. Have you watched my video on how to pick a professor? If not here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqvQnphrbZKjp9k I wish you the best! -Ben
