J-Dub and Chet will command a big pay rise in the next couple of years. If they can afford to keep them and still pick up quality draft talent, they will be so hard to beat. The new TV rights will mean teams will have more to spend, but OKC is still a very small market team. Money has always been the issue and if these guys are serious about winning, they have to keep that it mind and not be greedy.

It would really hurt OKC's offence to start Caruso and I Hart. Starting I Hart would replace an outside shooter in OKC's drive and shoot or pitch to 3 point shooters offense. Caruso is great defensively but only so so offensively. Whether either of those players starts will likely be driven by who the opponent is. My vote (for what it's worth) is to start Wallace instead of Caruso and let him develop. Wallace can shoot the 3 and plays very good defense. He should improve in his second year. Caruso and I Hart could anchor the second team defense. Of course that all depends on who the opponent is.

The thing is, as long as the Mavs, Denver, Suns, Wolves, and even the Lakers are still in contention, they won't win the NBA. Last year might have been a fluke, but this year is the real test. Every team in the West has improved-well, maybe not Denver as much.

Thunder fans need to understand this isn't the same team that finished #1 in the West last year. Without Giddey they might not ever be as good as they were last season. You need to stop listening to all of these so called experts who keep telling you that was a good trade because it wasn't. They have now changed the chemistry of that team. There is no guarantee they will ever be that good again. I saw it when they traded Harden. They never made it back to the finals again.
@basketballreach4 ай бұрын
I’m an Australian and I like Josh Giddey but to compare him to James Harden the same guy who has won a MVP and averaged over 35 a game is ridiculous
@joeldriver-sp2rg4 ай бұрын
@@basketballreach It's actually not though because Giddey matched what Harden did in his last year with OKC 2 years ago numbers wise. This shows he has the potential to be an all star. I'm not saying he's going to be what Harden became but it's absolutely a fair comparison.
@Official.LegitCool4 ай бұрын
@joeldriver-sp2rg Giddey can't even shoot why are you comparing him to harden, and we needed more veterans on the team so okc definitely robbed the bulls
@joeldriver-sp2rg4 ай бұрын
@@Official.LegitCool LMAO. He shot 1% less on 3s than SGA did last year bro. You sound like all the others who are regurgitating garbage they've heard online from the so called experts. Giddey is only 21 and improved his shooting every single year and will only get better. We just gave away a white Magic Johnson to get another Andre fricking Roberson in Caruso. Doesn't even average 7 points per game for his career. You have no idea what you're even saying but you'll find out soon enough. Giddey 17/8/7 against team USA in only 27 minutes. Yeah, can't shoot a lick.
@Official.LegitCool4 ай бұрын
@@joeldriver-sp2rg giddey is not no magic johnson, I would take many players over him, and also the allegations against him were a bad look for the team, we'll look back at this in a year and you'll know that the thunder won the trade, and I don't remember giddey being part of okc's big 3. And shai isn't a really good 3 point shooter, also if giddey was even close to james harden he would be the best 3 point shooter on okc but I'm not sure if he even is top 5 on the thunder. And if he's supposed to be magic johnson why didn't he even reach the 5 apg mark. And, why did he also ghost against the mavericks.

OKC and their clipboard intern coach are a joke . They finished first being the weakest rebounding team in the league , in possibly the weakest western conference of all time . Like if the 2 best records in the conference both get swept in the semis and the team who came third play nearly all year without Jamal Murray and the team who played the finals got trashed and the rest were barely .500 teams it is more likely they overachieved and the record looks way better than the reality or they are this new conference powerhouse with Lil NAS X playing PG??!!
