AD definitely is good as a playmaker but I think another big factor is Lebron playing point guard. In 2020 he averaged 10 asts and it's a big factor why they were winning and that's what they're doing rn. For the guards, Reeves is good. For Cam, i wish he can be like a Danny Green. 3 and D guard. Same thing for Max. Gabe Vincent should study Caruso or Avery Bradley. Knecht has been good. Reminds me of JJ Redick with the Clippers. Rui is Rui. I hope Wood and Vando comes back soon.

If Lakers want to actually capitalize on their roster space, they need to just drop Vando, Gabe, and Hood-Schifino and try getting some more reliable guys come the trade deadline. Vando would suck losing but good grief he's played what, maybe 30 games over the past 3 years?! Always hurt, always in surgeries.

How about if he just gives 3 assists a night and 2 blocks 1 steal 2 made three pointers and his defense I will take that. The real difference is Knecht and if he can be a consistent 20PPG scorer. If so the Lakers got good shot at the trophy they hand out in June. Having 5 guys that can give you 30 points on any given night is better than 4.

@roboticvenom1935
@roboticvenom1935 2 ай бұрын
Its more then that, if you have that happen that's enough to even do anything in the playoffs. Especially when that still leaves the issue of AD getting bullied by certain bigs that take advantage of his lack of conditioning when he is forced to rebound, attack, and defend at the same time. Look how Jokic absolutely blows by him every possession when the nuggets play the lakers and he is not a fast player yet he appears as if he has 2x the gas tank because of how he exploits AD's role. Lakers need another good center/big to help crash the board(dont have AD crash the boards)

Ad cooked jokic last playoffs it was the line up that fucked up lakers and coach they uses to many guards which jokic would just target and Murray . Ad can’t do everything black there . Jj cuz he has brain instantly notice that which why dlo never gonna start again cuz that line up is redundant . The league is super parody rn a fucking up line up or rotation your team is cooked . U think Rudy was guarding jokic good he wasn’t ad was doing way better but the team was coached way better and had better guards defender around Rudy and played another big next to him and another back up big in bench which why they won . "15 seasons ago offense was created solely by point guards" - I mean that's just not true at all. In 2009 the league was already into the early stages of modern position-less basketball. Teams were running triangle offense and guys like Lebron, Duncan, Kobe dominated their teams offense - guards were already being required to either be elite at passing or have a nice shooting game. To go back far enough where offense was solely created by guards you have to go a lot further than 15 years, you need to go all the way back to pre-Jordan era's in the 80's, but even then guys like Magic are really more of point-forwards so the game has already started to shift

Great analysis but the areas you really neglected to highlight is the lack of bigs to help backup AD, the poor perimeter defense, and the terrible transition defense from the Lakers. He looks like he's going to be a very good HC in this league. He's got an exceptionally high basketball IQ, which was never in question. and it looks like, even though he's young and had never coached before getting the Lakers job, has buy in and respect from his payers, which was a concern. That said, part of the reason he looks like a genius is due to the guy he replaced. Under Ham, the Lakers had no system, no organization, no identity. Watching the same group of guys run a proper offense, with clearly defined rotations for the player, is still taking me time to get used to.

You can do both. There is nothing wrong with including "back", it just gives more to the point to which you're reverting. You can revert once by hitting ctrl+z or you can revert back to the start by going into the history. There is nothing wrong with saying "revert back". The only time it could be considered redundant is if there isn't a prolonged history in which to revert. So, if I'm ordering a pizza and tell the guy to add olives and then immediately say "revert back to no olives", then it becomes unnecessary and redundant. However, it's still not incorrect.

At 8:56, that's 1 dribble, 3 steps then a dunk. 3 steps? Slow it to half speed. Really? When did 3 steps to a dunk come to be the norm? I would have gotten a travel for that when I played in high school back in 86'-91'. With my stride at full speed back then, and 3 steps, I could have easily started about 18' out from the hoop for a dunk. That guy at 8:56 was 16'-17' out from the hoop when he started, and he wasn't at full stride. He could easily started his dunk 20' out if he was. WTF? Really? LOL. Man I (H)8te this game today. LOL. The Jordan era will always RULE. And always remember, Jordan had a 48" vert with 2 steps to the hoop from ~15'-16' out. LeBron is 3" taller and his best vert is 44".

As long as the offense flows through AD and he remains healthy they have a chance to get to the Conference Finals. They can't have the offense run through LeBron because he gets 3 point happy, and he misses clutch shots. LeBron would be better utilized running the ball in transition and off a screened drive to the basket. Mabe some pick and roll with AD but LeBron is not a good pick and roll player. The Lakers need to play much better Defense. it was good to see D'Lo benched for not playing defense. JJ should also bench LeBron when he straggles and doesn't run back to play defense after putting up bricks. They still have to play Denver, Dallas, and basically the good teams. If JJ gets on through with the Pampered Lakers maybe they make a deep playoff run.

They can’t bench bron. Bron has to be on PG

Yes, JJ can since they are buddies and JJ should also save him for the playoffs. If he gets seriously hurt it's over for the Lakers.

Heat been doing this with Bam since 2019-2020 season, yet didn’t mention them. Heat always gets overlooked, like Spo is the first coach to run small ball in 2013 when he put Bosh in the 5 and Bron in the 4… no credit.

Yeah but they lack defense. Grizzlies would have swept them every game if they had their actual roster- they had some of the worst injuries in the NBA.

The Lakers are always entertaining but they're not going deep into the playoffs. I don't care what kind of heroics AD, LBJ or Austin pull. It's not happening. Their bench is shallow and it's a long season. Respect to the rookie Knecht though.
