Rick,,,,Working on a T-90 and have a little rust on the reverse gear,,,only 8 teeth,,,used some emery cloth and most all is gone,,,everything else looks very good,,,would you not replace the gear,,, and the front bearing I would like to use a sealed one,,,you have a # for it. Best video on T-90 I've seen,,,very well done..have to watch again and see if I can pull the front bearing to replace it.

Douglas Battjes, If the rust was just surface rust it will be fine to reuse it, but if it is pitted it should be replaced. I don't have the part # for the sealed bearing right now but the old written T-90 rebuild guide on the web has a number that should be able to be cross referenced.

Jamison, First you need to understand there are many different configurations of T90s so there is no 1 size fits all. However, The short bolts should go one in the front position and one in the lower left hand side, behind the reverse idler gear. The other spots can handle the longer bolts without hitting the gears. With that said, using an extremely long bolt in the top right hand position can crack the case since it is a blind hole. I hope this helps.

I got my 5 bolts mixed up from where the transmission is bolted to the transfer case. (3 long and 2 short) I called Kaiser willys and they sent me a kit that is 5 bolts at the same length. they said the manual has it listed at 5 bolts of the same length. Confusing info here

Arnold de Man, Sorry but from what little I know of the T-84, I'm pretty sure it is a very different transmission.
