Well hello you two, this is Peter just checking in to see what you were up to and I hope that you are both in good high spirits and good health. If you’re able to possibly share with me some of your plans for the future without giving too much away that would be great. I do hope your beautiful boat is okay and is being looked after in the event that you are not on board and overseas. best always Peter Reynolds.

Hey Peter, great to hear from you :). How are you going? We are both well in Australia and have our names on the list to get our vaccinations. Currently just working hahaha. Like many countries the rollout is pretty slow. Once we get our vaccinations (Likely end of the year), we will head back to Turkey to continue our journey. In the mean time we are heading to New Zealand who we have a travel bubble with for a holiday :). We are both looking forward to getting back to Kawai. How are you going? What's new?
@peterreynolds81463 жыл бұрын
@@SailingKawai New Zealand is such a lovely place to visit and holiday or even extended holiday. I’m so happy that you two are still well and enjoying life while looking forward to returning to your sailing adventures. I had the good fortune to travel to New Zealand from Australia when I was in the Royal Australian Navy on an aircraft carrier. ( my teen years were spent dodging aeroplanes on my roof while trying to sleep & now teenagers are flipping hamburgers at McDonald’s. How times and things have changed. ) I have been busy myself working looking forward to the time when I can purchase my new yacht. Anyway I will sign off and wish you the very best of health and happiness and Fairwinds always. Peter

Loving it! Tip, don't visit Lindos during tourist season.....nightmare. Are you going going to Crete? Son and family lived there for several years.
@SailingKawai5 жыл бұрын
Glad you are enjoying it! This video was exactly 1 year ago, we have since sailed a lot, but haven't been to Crete, a place we definitely want to go. We have sailed to Croatia and Montenegro, back to Greece and have just arrived in Turkey today. Thanks so much for watching, appreciate the comment!

A couple of questions. Did you hand steer all the way? Are you happy with just the wires across the stern? Would you like to extend the stainless railing for added security.
@SailingKawai6 жыл бұрын
Hey Andrew, yes we hand steered all the way, prefer to when we can. We like the flexibility of the wires when we are at anchor and it hasn't felt unsafe so far (this could change though :))

Hi Jorge, thanks so much!!! When we stared these videos we didn't realise the audio was that loud. From video 10 the audio improves, hopefully you can get through it hahaha. Thanks for watching :)

I was in rhodes last week, did u go threw old town or climb hill to see ruins and view?
@SailingKawai6 жыл бұрын
Oh really, how did you find it? We only stayed for 2 nights as we have visited before. We did go through the old town but didn't climb the hill. Would have liked to if we had more time. Btw we will be doing Part 2 of buying a boat in Turkey next :)

Hi Kevin, thanks for watching and your comment. We do have a rode microphone and a dead cat cover but unfortunately sometimes it really doesn't work very well :( we are trying to work on the audio all the time so hopefully you will see some improvement in the future!

@@SailingKawai I think your audio is just fine. I'd much rather have more content from you with his audio than less because you're having to work too hard to get clean audio. With love, Ken
