4 Simple Steps To BackUp Your WIP

4 simply steps to Backup Your WIP ... don't make the same mistakes I made by not saving my WIP. #writingtips #preptober
1) Save consistently… don’t always depend on auto save in one place. Duplicate Saving your work in multiple places.
2) Use a external hard drive. You can purchase one pretty reasonable. I’ll leave a link to the one I purchased in the description below. I used SAMSUNG T5 Portable SSD 1TB

3)Use a Cloud Base Service- it’s the most convenient way to save your WIP at any time from anywhere. BackBlaze.com come highly recommended
4) Use an off-cloud service like Dropbox, Microsoft One Drive and Google Drive.

I feel you! I haven't lost a whole manuscript, but I have lost chapters. I save in three places but those chapters disappeared somewhere. I probably mislabeled them and I will run across them years down the road. Now, I not only back up, but I print the pages I worked on for the day...just in case!

Oh nooo I’m so sorry you lost your story. And I know you worked so hard on it. Shame on you for not saving, this is a lesson you’re never forget, or make again.
