I didn't even know Chain Disapperarance existed lol, will definitely experiment from that. Also, great that you explained that it affects the Fusion Deck, from reading the card I would have just asusmed it only affects the main deck.

Time Wizard is also a great tempo card, since it forces your opponent to deal with it, one way or another. It prevents your opponent from setting monsters, since there is always a chance for Time Wizard to pop them again, and it forces them to summon their Dekoichis or Spies, or even to commit to a Chaos boss early in order to clear it. If they are stuck with Night Assailants or Magicians of Faith, they might not even have an out. Also, it is good against Scapegoat, because, even if you miss on the coin toss, then they won't have a target for their Thousand-Eyes. The more I think about it, the more appealing it seems to me. Being searchable by Apprentice is like a cherry on the top

I actually have been playing it in chaos because it also sends a light to grave if he destroys himself, so sometimes both flips are good outcomes at the cost of 1 normal summon. Think of it as a cannon soldier with the option to blow out all your opponents monsters. You can also end with a time wizard up if you're playing light recruiters so that you can flip on your turn. They have to remove it or you get to flip. Edit he covers this I didn't get to it yet haha

IDK something about coin flip cards makes me just rather not. Already enough RNG in the game as it is

I find cards that put your opponent on the back foot are more effective than defensive ones like solemn wishes. A tech I tried out was Wave-Motion Cannon in agro or chaos decks. Basically a more offensive version of solemn wishes. Instead of gaining 750lp on avg, you threatened 1000lp every turn it wasnt answered putting them on a timer. Threatening damage from both my spells & my offensive monster threats would divide my opponents attention & put on immense pressure. You could say it would be a lightning rod for S/T removal but that would mean my defensive cards remained intact to help protect and build my board to exert more offensive pressure. It also felt more flexible as a spell & allowed me to steal end games that I shouldn’t have won. You can’t win in a vacuum by gaining LP, but you can by reducing theirs. My only tip for those who try it is, always activate it prematurely. Always a turn before you want to use it. Often people would hold their removal to prevent the game shot. Even though you’re not dealing the final blown with it, that 3000dmg you accumulated is huge. (I do understand that its not apples to apples because you’re advocating for this as an anti burn card & so they’d fill different roles)
@GoatDuels2 жыл бұрын
WMC is also good, but a decent number of burn strategies actually main or side s/t removal. If Solemn Wishes gains you 1000 LP and then eats an MST or something, that's a sweet trade for you.

I really like to use Brain Control. It is not as much as a staple in my decks as pot of greed or graceful charity, but i really like to use it and pretty much all of my decks run it in the side deck or main deck. You listed all the scenarios where Brain Control is great. It is a really verasatile card and while in some situations (especially with face down monsters) Mind Control is better, I feel like this versatility is what makes Brain Control such a great card.

My experience is rooted in casual play, but I've found that this *final spice* overperformed in those environments and always thought it had the potential to cover some of Chaos' shortcomings, so I'm all in to see it played in a competitive setting !

I think the trap card appropriate has potential when used against chaos turbo.

Time Wizard lmao. Honestly, I used it in my coin flip deck and it was pretty fun. The big obvious issue is that while getting your monsters to the GY is nice, loosing LP isn't. Time Wizard also has the big issue of being random and affecting all monsters. Sometimes you need to get a Light in the grave to get the burst damage. but you destroy your opponents weak monster instead. Sometimes you need to wipe the board but you destroy your guys instead. A lot of times you won't be able to activate time wizard due to you having a chaos sorc or smth on the board that you do not want to loose. However, I do see your point. I agree that you could probably use Time Wizard in serious Chaos Decks. However, I believe that those decks will likely be not as good as other variations.

I've actually made a Time Wizard deck on my channel a year or two ago- fun card! I think people are sleeping on Mind Control & potentially Lightforce Sword.

If you have cyber jar or morphing jar with solemn wishes do you get 2500 lp? Or the 5 cards counts as one draw?

Can someone explain how the torrential tribute doesn’t chain block the chain disappearance
@zackolot Жыл бұрын
when the last thing that happened was a monster being summoned, you can activate any amount of quick effects that activate when/if a monster is summoned. Technically you can chain torrential tribute to torrential tribute, as well as chain disappearance. If this wasn't the case, then green gadget would chain block torrential tribute just by normal summoning.

if you replace those thunder dragons with apprentice magician you will have to find more lights, so i assume you mean replace all the thunder dragons with time wizard, it certainly an interesting idea

Marie the fallen one is some spice that needs more recognition. If you play chaos they just side out night ass and bring in Marie vs burn. Burn has no way to to deal with cards in graveyard and you can just keep gaining lp until you need to banish them for sorc or bls. Electric snake is also pretty spicy if you play chaos. Side it in the mirror if your op is running card destruction.

What I also like about Brain Control is that you can sack the stolen monster for Thunder Dragon, which you will see throughout the game most of the time.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that in the video, but it's absolutely true. That's part of the reason why I like Brain Control as a sidedeck card for Chaos.

I don't know about solemn wishes my nasally balding friend. Burn is already not that common and to be siding a card that is (according to you) only really good against one type of burn deck doesn't seem worth it. Maybe if it's good against all burn and your deck has a really hard time dealing with burn then I could see it. But even then, why not just royal decree (which is also good against let's say warriors for example)?
